Game Thread W6 - Buffalo V NY Jets (1 Viewer)

Man, there are a handful of Bills defenders that I really like, and a bunch more who I couldn't care less if the Bills cut.

Love Kyle Williams, Keith Ellison, and Jairus Byrd, among others. Those three always look like they're working their asses off. Byrd >>>> Ko Simpson...it's not close.

Standard Bills...stop the Jets, get the ball back on 4th and 6.....

then put 12 men on the field, get a 5 yard penalty, and let the Jets convert on 4th and 1

:lmao:

Edwards sacked and slow to get up. Helped off by trainers.

Some people in Buffalo have been clamoring for Fitzpatrick for a few weeks now. I'm not one of them, but it looks like we might get a chance to see if they're right.

Sanchez over throws BE into a tipped pick.

I thought he was down where he intercepted it. He should be, they should challenge that.

THey do challenge - don't worry BE haters, the pass wasn't dropped.

What are the odds that this is a carbon copy of the 1998 season where Rob Johnson went down in Week 4 and Doug Flutie led the 1-3 Bills to an 11-5 record?

Yeah, I don't think so either.

PS nice pick by Byrd. Like I said, I've been very impressed with him this year. Looks like a great 2nd-round pick.

"Edwards taken to locker room for further evaluation." Nothing definitive.

Owens being helped off now, too.

Black pellet from the artificial turf went into Owens' eye.

Yes, what I wrote is correct, lol. He should be fine.

Thomas Jones, long run. 64 yards, longest of his career.

This might be the season that breaks me as a Bills fan.
 I won't be broken by it, I've just come to not expect anything any more. Every season begins with expectations, but it usually takes a lot longer to have the expectations broken. I'm sure they'll surprise me and win a handful more games this season, but I just expect a loss now going into pretty much every game. Sucks, but it is what it is.

Whitner just came out w/an injury.
Has there ever been a team that has had as many injuries as the Bills over a 5 year period? 10 guys on the IR already. Poz and Whitner both missed a lot time. This isn't a team that can withstand injuries in any way. And they're continually dealing with them.

I was at this stage a few years ago... give it time.

I don't know what it is. A lot of the injuries were not necessarily conditioning injuries (e.g., hamstring pulls), but were broken bones and torn ACLs.

Call me crazy, but I think I'd rather have George Wilson on the field than Donte Whitner....
Whitner is playing SS right now... he's better than Wilson at SS.
I'm really not sure about this. Whitner isn't bad, but he's not the playmaker we'd hoped he would be when they picked him so early. Maybe it's because the players in front of him aren't that good, and he doesn't get the freedom of a player like Ed Reed or Sean Taylor (both FS's, I know), but  . I certainly don't think he's much better than Wilson.

I'm sitting here watching this game, and I honestly just don't care. Not sure why I'm even watching. It's not like the Bills are capable of coming back from a 3-point first-half deficit. The Jets should consider pulling their starters so they're fresh for whoever they play next week.
