Game Thread W6 - Houston V Cincinnati (1 Viewer)

Nice FG block by the Bengals! Their D gave up that one big play, but looked ok after that. Time for Carson to step up!

I admit to being a Leon Lett when it comes to rules on blocked kicks and such... but then again if I was actually on the field for such plays I'd know the rules inside and out.

Shouldn't that blocked FG be Texans ball? From rewinding and watching it again in slow mo... ball snapped from the 11. Kick made, ball is blocked... ball crosses the line of scrimmage and is touched by a Bengal at the 10 yard line. It looked like a Texan then ended up with the ball at the end of the play.

Doesn't the defending team touching the ball past the line of scrimmage make it a live ball?

Edit to add: Though a Texan hit the ball about the same time as the Bengal, possibly before. So I suppose if that is the ruling then it would be illegal touching (same as when you down a punt) and the Bengals could either have the ball at the spot of the touching, or take the continued play.

Schaub 8 yd TD pass to Daniels.

Right now, I'm regretting starting Schaub. I hate rooting for him to have a big game against my Bengals. And my backup (Favre) already has two TD passes.

I'm regretting not starting him with his big start thus far. Hasselbeck better put up or shut up

Well, maybe Gary WAS paying attention last week. :lmao: When you get down there, throw it to Daniels/AJ. Good things should happen.

I benched Schaub for Brees...Brees is blowing up and I'm still regretting the decision.

Just stopping by to see if the Bengals are going to pull another one out of their ### today.
:lmao: I don't see it happening today...it can be done and as I was typing this they just got a turnover but they haven't done anything the 2nd half.

Didn't see any of the game but I'm guessing that Benson never got goint and no pass rush on Schaub?
Yeah and they lost two of their strong defensive players (Odem and Peko).

Really the key to the game was the Texans D against the Bengals O in the second half. It was a pretty even game in the first half. Second half the Bengals couldn't move the ball. Only 2 or 3 first downs, and turned the ball over 3 times.
