I know they are winning the game right now, but his play calling seems suspect at best!

He's been inside the 5 with first and goal to go twice now and choses not to run the ball. It looks like all he does is use Reggie as a decoy.

PS ...Andy, try not to sound like such a smart ###....much appreciated! There may or may not be a better way to communicate.

Apologies if it came across that way, but it was the 5th thread in about 10 minutes which belonged in a game thread. During games a lot happens. Rather than have a thread for every happening, it's better to keep them all in the same thread.Once the games are finished, if the topic is still thread worthy, go for it.
 
How does Brees look? His stats are great.

Does this saints offense look like it is getting back to normal?

3 straight weeks of good production from drew brees.

Such a joke that Brees was still throwing that whole drive instead of running the clock out. Think you can stop throwing now, Payton? I have a .2 lead going against Colston, though I still have GB D left.

Yes, they look to be back. Mainly because the offensive line is playing much better these days. Brees is much calmer in the pocket lately.
 
Seriously, I think I hate Payton now. What the hell is he doing with the play calling? He's using Bush as a full time decoy and throwing up 24-3?

He's winning 31-3. Now probably isn't the best time to bash his coaching abilities.Fact is, it's smart to use Bush as a decoy. It opens up the rest of the offense. Then once teams take attention away from Bush, Payton will make them pay.
 
I love San Francisco. Abandons the run EVERY game even when they're in it. Before long, Alex Smith (or Dilfer) is throwing at 40% completion rate for under 200 yards and usually a couple picks. Someone slap these coaches around. Their RB led the NFC in rushing last year. Maybe they don't know that?
