Game Thread W8 - Tampa Bay V San Francisco (1 Viewer)

Talk about not preparing your team for a game.

Thanks Gruden, way to go. Congrats, you lose to Vinny and you lose to Dorsey.

As great as Gruden is, he is also completely horrible.
Again, both those teams just ran the ball, played good defense and didn't allow the QB to make any plays, or make any mistakes. They didn't lose to Dorsey or Vinny. They lost to two teams who outmuscled them and didn't make any mistakes.

this is really rather disgusting.
Didn't the 49ers just get blown out last week? They can't stop Kevan Barlow of all RBs?
The Bucs have held the Niners to about 200 yards of offense. It's not really the fault of the defense.
Please, this is the 49ers we're talking about here, and they're playing their 4th string QB as well. It's an embarressing loss for the whole team.

I guess they were right....the Bucs are the worst 4-0 team ever!!!! How the hell can u lose to the friggin 49ers????? KILL SIMMS!
:lmao: some people.I agree the Niners are one of the worst two teams in the league, but this isn't the NCAA, guy. The Niners have NFL players too.

How long is it going to take people to realize that there's no such thing as a given win, especially on the road, in the NFL?I swear some of you people just started watching football last week.

Simms gets sacked with 20 seconds left and he doesn't have the wherewithal to get the team up and spike the ball. This kid doesn't know what he is doing.

The niners aren't as bad as all you people would like to believe. Their O is anemic at best but if they don't turn it over the D is good even with the injuries. Go Niners

just a horrible, horrible effort all the way around. Other than Galloway, and maybe even him, all TB players should be downgraded with Sims at QB. Man, does that kid need to get a little presence in the pocket, or what? Critical sack after critical sack. Also brutal game plan by Gruden. Read where SF was the easiest team in the league to pass to RB's, and they hardly used Pittman. Way too much manlove for Caddy, who did nothing..

So given your political, non answer, answer...you think that the better team won today?

I realize that most fans of the NFL have an attention span of 1 week. Then they become ignorant tools spewing whatever is thrown there way like a 5 year old.Simms did not have a good game but he had a better game then alot of NFL QB's today, namely McNabb who I watched SUCK with better weopons, line and RB.SO ####!

So u are saying that McNabb who has 383 and 3 TD's played worse than Simms??? OK - Next! You must be a Bucs coach!!!

So that 52 points and almost 500 yards that they gave up last week was a mirage? Or the 31 to Arizona, or the 34 to Dallas, or the 42 to Philly...yeah, that's one SOLID defense.

TB's good enough to rebound. But losing Griese might mean they'll have to settle for a wild card spot since both Atlanta and Carolina will fight with them for the division title. Big game next week obviously.

The Redskins game against th Bucs in week 10 looks alot easier now at least.

And i'll bet that on any given day, they put their pants on one leg at a time as well...

As a Niner fan living near Tampa, I must say this feels pretty good. The seasons a complete loss, but at least I have this. Tha'll shut up the locals reaaal niiiice.

Unfortunately, this win may cost you guys a chance at Reggie Bush.

Roll your eyes all you want guy, those are NFL players too.Not sure why this is such a difficult concept. Bad teams win on occasion. Deal with it...I have.

Oh, i'm dealing with it quite well, and i'm also dealing quite well with the rationalization put forth by the B ucs fans that that the 49ers are a quality NFL team. I recall the thread about the Bucs being the worst 4-0 team, and the hackles raised on the backs of TB fans...now it's all about how every team is capable of beating any other team...blah, blah, blah...

It's amusing to watch the spinning going on right now in Bucs land.

I said earlier this week that this would be a close game and I thought the Bucs could struggle. Go look for it, it's in the Pittman/Caddy thread on the first page.In fact, I'll just link it for ya. I wouldn't trust you to find it on your own.

Now go ahead and explain how that's spinning, when I made that comment before the game. I'll hang up and listen to your surely educated response.

The 49ers don't need another RB.
Maybe. I'm not sold on Barlow or Gore yet though. D'Brickashaw Ferguson might be good for you guys.

Wel, I sur do thank u for youre link...it wood hav been tough too find it with my edumacation.

I'm thrilled for you that you managed to hedge your bets by saying it was going to be closer than most think, considering you were replying to a guy who said it would be a rout. Would you like me to put a set of rollyeyes here for you?

You've done nothing more than spin since the loss went up in that right-hand column, Why you can't just admit that they played horribily on both offense and defense, is beyond me. The defense did NOTHING...no turnovers, no sacks, nothing.

Yes, any team in the NFL can win on any given day, and whatever other cliche's you can think of, but this was a particularly oderous loss to an awful team.
