I am not a Patriot fan, but I LOVE that they play every play like it truly matters in the outcome of the game. I don't know if it is the smartest (okay, I know it isn't), but I love to watch them play. If your team gets it handed to them by the Pats, then just take it like a man, and give all the "no class" stuff a rest.
I'm not a Pats fan nor a Skins fan,...but what does that mean? Take what like a man? If you're a Redskins fan, you don't have anything to take. You didn't lose. You don't share in the glory. You're not part of the team. You're nothing. You get to buy merchandise and pay for tickets. That's it. Same with New England fans, and all other fans. Fans can't be "good sports" because they're not playing any sports. They're spectators. Sorry for the rant; I just find it annoying when fans pretend they're something they're not, like they need to be "classy" or "good sports" or "take" the wins and losses with dignity. It takes "fantasy football" to a sad new level. I find emotional fans to be very entertaining, so I hope they keep it up.That being said, the Pats were running up the score here, but they are going for a passing TD record. Brady "only" had two TDs. If you saw the other thread, I'm totally against running up the score, but in this case they're chasing NFL history. Brady and Manning have a rivalry, and I'm sure they'd like to have that record. I can understand why they want to put him in position to get it. So while I'm against running up the score, it makes some sense here. It would be like a running back staying in a game late because he could break the rushing record. You normally only get one shot to do that kind of thing in your career, and 2007 is Brady's shot. You have to let him take it.
