Game Thread W9 - Seattle V Cleveland (1 Viewer)

Shaun Alexander left Sunday's game in the first quarter with an apparent leg injury. After being looked at by the training staff on the sidelines, Alexander limped to a seat on the bench midway through the first quarter. Maurice Morris has replaced him.
I need him back in. Now. The only way I can possibly beat the ADP team is if he scores a TD (and so do Crayton and Heath Miller).

Cleveland offense starting to move now after not looking good on their first two possessions. Brian Russell might have a stinger.

Anyone actually watching this game?

Originally the FL was credited to Morris, now it's being credited to Hass, big 2 point swing in a close game. Anyone see it and know he was credited with the fumble?

Lewis TD. Browns took it right down the field.

ETA: Dawson hooked the XP. lol

It was clearly on Morris. The ball had changed hands and Morris fumbled as he was being stopped in his forward motion.

Looked like a bad exchange but I'd blame Morris if I had to. SA is back in guys.

Engram has 8 targets and 6 catches thus far. Seattle is going with Morris a little more today and SA dropped a pass on 2nd and 9.

Back to back Alexander runs stuffed. The two previous runs he looked real good but those two goaline plays were bad calls.

DJ Hackett TD. :football:

Doc, do you recall if Hasslebeck fumbled or was it Morris?

Thanks, you seem to be the only one watching the game!

It looked like a Morris fumble to me but the stat guys are weird on exchanges. He never really had it even though Hass put it right there. :football:

How's Hackett looking?

Picked him up this week after trading away Bowe. He seems to have been a forgotten man, surprising in a league where long shots are usually snapped up.

Was it a jump ball or something?

No the TD was a slant where Hackett shielded the corner. He has just two targets and looks a little out of shape but like I've been saying all week (Mad Sweeney and Enforcer too) Hackett is the guy on this team because he possesses physical attributes the other guys don't. Somewhere Shick! smiles.

Quick slant on the goal line. Did a nice job of holding on and taking a hit from the cornerback. Fans of Hackett will point to a play just like this that Burleson hasn't made in the past. Hackett has hands and can hold on while taking a pop.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that unless a RB completely has the ball fumbles on the exchange are put on the QB.
Yeah I also believe that is true but that was clearly Morris' fumble. Of course the NFL stat keepers don't really care about those of us playing fantasy I guess.

Wow impressive hold there by Seattle. Marcus Trufant is going to be a Pro Bowl player this year and is showing it so far with his coverage on Braylon who was targeted twice there in the end zone but Trufant's coverage denied the score.

Thought that would be a braylon td for sure.

He is one of the few "goal line" wrs in the league

He's the best college WR I think I've ever seen play outside of Moss who I only saw play twice. I'm a Michigan homer but Braylon is as physically gifted a WR as I think the NFL has ever seen and even though he probably doesn't have the talent Moss has, he is a better football player. If you throw the ball to him and get it anywhere close he has a chance not only to make a play, but to make a big play. If he stays healthy he is going to be one of the best ever. I really believe that.

Leroy Hill is a beast.

Nice drive by the Browns helped by an interference call on Winslow. Lewis with the score.

Hasselbeck is a good QB but he's an elite QB when he's on his game. So far today, he's been on his game. All the balls are thrown to the right spot and Burleson, Engram, and Hackett are making them count. Seattle's offense looks much better today than it did prior to the bye week.

ETA: SA is playing every other down at best right now because he's a bit hurt.

Seattle's LB core is really underrated, possibly the best unti in the league. The least known member of that unit Leroy Hill is having a huge game.
