Game Thread Week 12 - Green Bay at Detroit (1 Viewer)

Favre = 270 yards/2 TDs/1 INT

Grant = 80 yards rushing/30 yards receiving/1 TD

Kitna = 230/1 TD/3 INT

Packers 30 - Lions 17

I am already fired up and can't wait to get home from work and sit in my lazy chair and watch the Packers beat the Lions.

I am predicting a huge game for Favre. Maybe something like 315/3 TDs/1 INT

GO PACK GO !!!

I am predicting that you are in for a huge letdown. ;)

Which Lions team shows up? My guess is the good Lions team. I guess this will be much closer than most expect. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Lions win. Finally a Lions Thanksgiving Day game I am looking forward to.

Greenbay homers,

Any predictions based on anything that you've heard this week as to how long and how effectively Grant might play in this game?

I'm a Packer fan who has been known to place a wager or two and let's just say I don't have a good feeling about this game. I hope I'm wrong.

I'm going with the upset. Packers are not as good as they have been playing, Favre has some breakdowns indoors, Detroit plays tough at home on some Thanksgivings.

Lions 23-20

Fantasy wise, I think Calvin Johnson is the player that will most outproduce expectations today.

That other Calvin Johnson thread on this board is a waste of time. Anybody wan tto chime in w/ some Cal johnson predictions?

According to the beat guy on milive.com, they have to use him more as the only way they can beat the pack is spread the field w/ 4-wide. Says that the GB nickel back, jared Ward i think his name is, is terrible and can't cover CJ.

2 for 45 today

This is pure hell for me as a Lions fan. I'm sitting just north of green bay at the inlaws and have to decide between Big Roy or Ryan Grant. As the only Lions fan at the Thanksgiving table I would like nothing more than for the Lions to win. Roy just doesn't get it done every week. Will this be his week? Anyone relying on Detroits Offense today?

My gut says bet against my team the Lions and to play Grant. I've played Roy every game this year thru thick and thin (mostly thin). I can't decide...but its going to be a great game.

i'm going with williams over welker or branch, banking on the thanksgiving mojo. i'll be driving for about half of the game, so hopefully roy doesn't do anything to make me drive off the road. :unsure: have a great thanksgiving..even in "enemy territory!eta- i'm playing the packers d in the same league as roy. that's always good for a little ambivalence. :thumbup:

The Green Bay Packers have declared OT Allen Barbre, TE Bubba Franks, DL Daniel Muir, DL Johnny Jolly, DL Justin Harrell, FS Nick Collins, WR Shaun Bodiford, CB Will Blackmon inactive for Week 12.

The Detroit Lions have declared QB Dan Orlovsky, CB Dovonte Edwards, OT George Foster, SS Greg Blue, DL Ikaika Alama-Francis, OL Manuel Ramirez, DL Shaun Cody, RB Tatum Bell inactive for Week 12.

MFL/KFFL

Grant is starting but he is not 100%. Will he be spelled by Jackson today or will the Packers just rely on the passing game b/c of the Lions secondary? Would it be fair to expect low stats from Grant? The Lions have been pretty good against the run.

Does anyone think Martz has figured out what he has in Calvin Johnson yet. He is the go to guy, and yet they don't use him like that. Even I can figure that one out and I am not getting paid like Martz, DUH!

I think Brett will light it up going against " I am too frail Fernando Bryant " what a poor excuse for a corner!

Atleast she was hot. But anyway, I need a huge game from roy and calvin since I am playing the top team in the league this week. 2 tds each would be nice

Frick. Java is disabled on my browser here at work and all radio/internet TV sites are also blocked. Looks like this will be my one and only way of checking on the game.

Is Kitna just completely oblivious to the fact that his pass-blocking is abhorent? My god man, make a read or throw it away...I see why he has been dumped so often...

...and #74(Kampman?) on the Packers eats steroids for breakfast...

Oh yeah, the Vikings are pretty bad as well...
