Game Thread WK 9 NE@DEN (1 Viewer)

I've never had a win come down to the last play like that... what an unreal night... Won with NE+2.5 and won this week in FF.....Now I can go to bed..

It sucks to lose!!!(but that INT just won my second league for me--I was down by 1 and had the NE Def and I couldn't dare to root for them tonight)

theres only one team in the league shanny can beat right now and thats oak.... and only if oakland is starting Mirer.. Plummer is the new Crystal Chandelier...

How do you have almost 2,700 posts and I've never seen your screen name?
I've got less than a hundred. Been checking in on the site for several years, but don't have a lot of time to post in general. Although it's fun when I get some time off from work...

:bag: :bag: :bag: :bag: :bag: Horrendous. At least the good news is that if New England wins the East, then Denver doesn't have to worry about losing tiebreakers to them for the #5 or #6 spot.Of the Broncos losses, all are to current division leaders, which is good in the sense that if those teams win their divisions the Broncos won't be down head-to-head tiebreakers in the wild card.Wins in the next 3 games (vs. SD, vs. Chi, @ Oak) are crucial to get to 8-4 and 6-3 within the conference. Then the big showdown with Kansas City, possibly to end a 12-0 start. If the Broncos can get to 8-5 with 3 games left, I still like their chances of getting to the playoffs. The one thing that can help them is if the Titans take the AFC South lead, because then the Broncos can edge ahead of the Colts in the head-to-head tiebreakers with a win in Week 16.With Jake back after the bye, who knows, maybe this team can put on a 2000-esque run. If they can take the 1st Wild Card, they're looking at potential rematches of games they lost. In 1997, that certainly worked out for them.Enough rambling. I'm just peeved and need something to hold onto. :)

I'm at work so I only listened to the game on the radio. As for the Safety call, Esiason called it when it become 2nd and 10.Can someone tell me why Denver didn't run the ball when it was 3rd n 6 with about 2:30 left in the game? I believe Patroits had a TO left. Made sense to me to run the ball. Way to go Shanny.

Thanks X!!Man, this is such a tough year!!

Elam's injury, to me, was even bigger than Plummer's.Kanell didn't play great, putting up only 17 points, but if Elam's in the game the Broncos kick a FG and get a 4-point lead instead of a 3-point lead off of the safety. That said, I doubt it'd make a difference since no matter what the situation, Brady was on in the 2nd half. :)Great game. Pats fans should be proud of that team.

I don't want to defend the call, because I certainly don't agree with it.That said, didn't Shanahan do essentially the same thing in the New England win last season, throwing a deep pass to Lelie? He's always coached that way, I think, and it seems that it's worked out for him sometimes in the past.Perhaps he just trusts his offense more than his defense. In the 2nd half tonight, I'm not sure which unit was performing worse.

Haha, well we know you'll be there at least. :)On another note, Tom Brady is really starting to impress me with every facet of his game. With Sunday Ticket, I think I'm going to make it a priority to check his games out after the bye week. He's got to be perfect for the city of Boston, eh?

This is not the 1st game where he has bailed us out.I am amazed how much better he does when Weis is not calling the plays and Brady is running the 2 minute drill.I AM JACKED BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!:listening to Love Rollercoaster:  YEEE HAWWW!!!!

I know I have said it many times before but Brady is the real deal and he played an absolutely awesome game today. I think we can put the "he can't hit the long ball" talk to rest once a for all can't we?A great day to be a Pats fan and IMO the Broncs played a hell of a game as well

agreed on all accounts.Brady has hit at least 1-4 30+ yard passes a game. I though he had an elbow injury too  ;)
