Garrett Hartley has never kicked a FG over 50 yards. Sure he plays on a high power Saints offense. But they score more TDs than FGs made. I don't get the love.
Hartley had this same problem last year and they brought in Carney to work with him, He cost the Saints a couple games last year as well. He did eventually work his way out of the slump and was stellar for the post season. Right now in fantasy though, I dont know if I would trust him.

He cost the Saints one game last year. On the other hand the Saints would likely be 6-0 (and definitely 5-1) and in command of the NFC South and NFC this year if he and Carney make their 2 gimme kicks.
I'll say this:"Mr. Automatic" Carney missed that short FG vs the Bucs the exact same way Hartley's been missing his kicks - to the left. Something may be up with the snap, hold and timing. Maybe that was the point of the Jon Carney experiment.
Think about the Raiders, they stick with Janikowski through thick and thin and he misses a ton of kicks, big ones, short ones, etc.

Plenty of time for them to get it together. We know what they are capable of when they do play at their best level. I think we started to see a turn around in the Tampa game. Also the Saints are tied for the best record in the NFC so its not like they came out of the gate like the Vikings, Cowboys, Cardnals or any of the NFC teams that were in the playoffs last year. (exception: Philly)
