Gates or Gronkowski going forward (1 Viewer)

Who is the safer bet? Gronkowski has monster games and then may disappear for a couple games. Gates is more consistant but the foot injury scares me. I have both and am tired of trying to figure out who is the safe bet on a weekly basis. I may try to move one just to get rid of the headache.

Is this a serious question?

Aside from the fact that Gronk is arguably the top TE right now, Gates is anything but "safe".

Points per week

Player 1 : 7, 0, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, 11, 7, 15, 5

Player 2 : 15, 21, 23, 2, 3, 7, 9, 16, 23

It's not even close.

Gronk = healthy

Gates = injured

I guess the great days of Gates are over and the (pun!) Gates are closing forever.

However I don't think you can get any great value for Gates.

You won't get great value for Gates but he's still a top 5 tight end going forward. Since he's returned, he's put up good fantasy numbers. With that said, he's not even in the same ballpark as Gronk anymore.

yes, with so many productive TE's on the market it's hard to sell him. Maybe in a 2v1
