Geoengineering report from .gov (1 Viewer)

Can you or anyone offer a reasonable summary, please?
Someone posted a decade old report on climate engineering to combat the effects of global warming.  Too obsolete to waste time on except for historical reference at this point.

This topic was posted to generate some discussion on geoengineering. Thought I would place a few links to bring some facts to the table. Here’s another link for those who are interested in reading in depth. I wonder how much damage these decades of experiments have done to our environment?

Smart move. Post something from 40 years ago. You, sir, are on the cutting edge of technology.

Seeing how it started in earnest 40 years ago it seemed relevant. But thanks for the unkind words Siri!
Unkind? Yes, my use of sarcasm and ridicule was utilized to elicit a response, and it worked.

I'm almost sure we could share some time and discuss geoengineering. And I would enter with the understanding that you view geoengineering as "humans actively engaging in projects that intend to alter the atmosphere/environment/weather/climate."
But first, I need to ask you: do you believe the possibility that passive human activity could potentially alter the atmosphere/environment/weather/climate?

I don’t believe in the global warming/climate change hoax no. I think the geoengineering is probably killing off a lot of the insect population along with other damage. I also believe more taxes and control on energy only benefits the move towards a totalitarian agenda where your every breath is monitored for it’s climate impact.

We could find common ground on control of energy.
I find that our reliance on an antiquated grid could be the downfall of America.  Let's look into local control.

I agree with you there too. Why would you want a car powered by an old shaky grid? It would be so easy to sabotage a grid and stop the economy. Whereas with fossil fuel you can just get gas from an unaffected area transported in.

There we disagree. I believe in higher efficiencies. Fossil fuels are extremely convenient right now, but we should work toward higher efficiencies in fuel generation and consumption in the future.

Absolutely. I’m all for a cleaner environment but this spraying the upper atmosphere with silver iodide and such seems harmful.

Meh - i am sure you breath up more hazardous stuff in your everyday life.
Your entitled to your opinion but spraying this stuff in the atmosphere has an impact. Unfortunately we were never asked as a people if we wanted this chem spray. We don’t know for sure the effects but we do see vast populations of insects decline at an alarming rate.

Again, I’d like to ask the same question I asked in the other thread: here we have a guy who believes climate change is a hoax, abortion is murder, and the 2nd Amendment is absolute. Now as we all know, these views are representative of many conservatives. But there is no logical connection between them. So why does he believe as he does?

Looks like your article quotes tests from the 1940s.  I think you have already absorbed any effects.

But, the safest course of action is probably to wear a tinfoil hat whenever you are outdoors.  That will reflect any fine silver iodide particles in the air.

That’s when the tests started smarty. They’ve been going at it for decades. There isn’t a ton of information out there because the great news institutions are focused on spouting propaganda that Obama legalized

How are we all not dead yet?  We are all cockroaches.

True story:  Scientists discovered the gene for immortality in the 1990's only to then discover that the "cloud-seeding" from the 1940s had eradicated the gene from all living people.

conservapedia, breitbart, zomgtherealtruth.net.  Take your pick.

I don’t believe in man made climate change, except for the man made climate change I’m very concerned about here.

Do you know why there are taxes and regulations on factories and energy plants? Because for years they simply polluted, and people get sick from it over time. You’re worried about breathing air because of cloud seeding, but have a problem with regulating pollution (it appears, maybe I’m misunderstanding your link between taxes and breath regulation.)

All that aside, i wasn't aware of the link between insect die off and coal fly ash use in geoengineering until I researched it to see if this was an idea you came up with or if it had scientific backing.

Regulating pollution no problem. Spraying the atmosphere with chemicals to stop fake global warming. Big problem.

So the solution to climate change is to spray toxic chemicals according to CNBC video.

Also Baldwin narrated this

Idiocy Reigns Supreme.....IRS, for short

....that's my new fantasy team name....it works
That was very clever. It’s in mainstream news now.

It’s real bro. CNBC reported. Just look in the sky.

You said it two weeks ago, I agree that spraying chemicals in the air is a problem.

This is why I don’t buy the “we will innovate our way out of it”
