In hindsight, I don't think the Steelers made a good trade at all. Troy Polamalu would have been there for them.OK, Priest is hurt more than I thought.

 
Kelsay and Bailey are dropping like a stone.HUGE priest holmes question mark is now carved in granite.Packers.... Boss Bailey. The dream is still alive.

 
I would be willing to bet, however, that Titans will take one of the following three CORNERBACKS in this order:WoolfolkWeathersbySammy Davis

Woolfolk would look good in a Titans uni.That leaves SD a good DB at #30.Meanwhile GB gets their choice at LB (Bailey or Henderson). Probably Henderson.
 
As a Priest Holmes owner in a keeper league, I am now officially worried. I discounted any talk until I saw what happened today, and this is about the clearest possible statement that Priest is in trouble one way or the other...

 
I was thinking about him as well. Could see Larry Johnson here if the team really has doubts about the Priest!

Uh oh!Doesn't look good for the Priest. I thought they might go with Johnson here.Very interesting times in K.C. Johnson is a great receiver.
 
I must say that I am pleased with this draft as a Dolphin fan.The Patriots select one player with some question marks in Ty Warren (although he does have talent) and trades another pick for a 2nd and a 1st next year.The Jets trade up and land a great DT but did only get to add the one player to their team.The Bills took a player that likely won't play in 2003

Have you considered the possibility that one of the reasons for these moves is that no one is concerned about a Wannestedt led team? :( Bills did a favor for everyone in the afc east wasting their first pick on a reclamation project at rb when they already had henry and gary. :thumbup:

My gut really says this is the money issue, not the health issue. The Chiefs seem to be notoriously cheap these years.That said, let's talk about who Priest could be traded to...

whoa!!! KC just told us how bad of condition that Priest is in... Johnson is NOT a Holmes style of player, plus he's a Penn St RB which doesn't bode well.

Yeah it is--the way KC traded down they were targeting him atw.
 
Well, at least Johnson will have actual "uniform" to wear this year! :(but it sure doesn't look good for Holmes tho... :thumbup:

He'll probably go on the physically unable to perform list and we'll hve to wait until December. As a Henry owner, I think it was a good pick by the Bills.
 
He has also lost leverage in contract negotiations

Bingo.Not saying Holmes ins't hurt, but after people thinking th e BILLS might be doing a smart thing, why wouldn't you consider the chance that KC is too.Contract Neg, insurance (cause they certainly had nothing backing him up last year), as well as potential trading later.I have a feeling Holmes will fall far enough for me to draft this year. He may be injured but I bet he get's his shot if he's still with the team. I'll take that chance considering the upside.

Wouldn't Tyrone Calico be geographically more of a homer without all the health issues?

I'm not sure I agree, but with this crazy draft...who knows???I like the pick for Pittsburgh and they shouldn't second-guess it IMO. Lock up the guy you want and don't sweat it out wondering if he'll still be there.
 
John Butler's spirit is with the Chargers this draft. (other thread)Can't believe the guys that have dropped to us at the 30th. I really just hope they don't screw it up and pass on Steinbach.

 
I think the Steelers pick was great. Mock drafts had them getting all kinds of other guys like Johnson, etc. After looking at their needs, I felt SS was the way to go and I'm very happy they did as a Steeler fan. Now, just get some CB's. Do you think Travis Henry will be the starter or RBBC? Either way, if you picked up Henry, you could cheaply pick up his backups in case he did go down. It might not be a bad fantasy situation IF they don't go RBBC.

As a Bills fan, I'm happy with the McGahee pick. The Bills addressed all of their major needs in the offseason this year, and I'm confident that Donahoe and Modrak will find talent at DE/DT/WR/TE in the next couple rounds. Everybody thought the Saints were crazy when they drafted Deuce after the Ditka trade for Ricky Williams. Well, that eventually landed them 2 1st round picks. The Bills are smart enough to plan for the future, and took the proverbial Best Player Available with a gift pick they got from Atlanta for Price.If they had not franchised Price, they would not have even had the 23rd pick in the draft!When McGahee gets healthy, teams with a need at RB will be lining up for Henry or McGahee next offseason. This pick has more upside than anyone else available in the draft, IMO, and I think it's worth the gamble.There is still the rest of the draft and the June 1st veteran cuts for the Bills to fill needs.
