Get it On! Rookie Draft Discussion Thread (2 Viewers)

I can't find a source that rates him highly.
At least one NFL team had him rated as a good pick at #62. I place a lot more stock in that than whatever CNNSI and ESPN say. The guys at CNNSI don't watch nearly as much film as NFL scouting departments do, they don't attend the combine, personally work guys out, interview coaches, etc.I always think it's ridiculous to grade an NFL team's selections based on Mel Kiper's (or any similar person's) rankings. That's exactly backwards.(This goes for all teams' drafts. Not just the Chargers'.)

RAMS GET KEVIN CURTIS!That's a good pick. Perfect replacement for azHakim except Curtis can catch too. I think catching is important for a RECEIVER.

Lets see, we've STILL got Peterson. Onterrio Smith.Musa Smith.Lee Suggs.Chris Simms.Justin Fargas.OOps... there goes Musa!

Cincinnati's kickin' butt! 3 first round picks. What happened to their bungling? Lady Be Bop must be ecstatic!
Lady BeBop just got back from picking up her daughter from a track meet.Just found out 'bout Washington. Wow. Was thinking he might have been an interesting second round pick. But no defense???

The Bengals did a pretty good job of upgrading the defense through free agency, and with Marvin Lewis as the coach you have to figure they'll have vastly improved schemes.I thought they hired the perfect HC, and it's starting to look like they're making the right moves to field a winner in a year or two.

MUSA SMITH  To Baltimore
not a bad draft pick if you are a jamal lewis owner.
True...but in my estimation, Musa was the best back in this draft, and was really hoping hed get into a situation where he'd have a shot at playing time due to something other than injury
hey, you & me both. i've got 4 top ten picks in my dynasty rookie draft, and it's not looking good right now!

No, but they were making some tremendous BPA picks. Really, these are great picks. On the upside, with the poor Bengal defensive play, they can get help on defense in the lower rounds.Next year the defense can have the whole draft as they are gonna have a great, sound, powerful offense in about two years.Bengal Superbowl champs in 2006!

Green Bay trades up, gets peterson AND keeps their 3rd??? How can this be possible?Edit... Nevermind... Buffalo takes the GB 3rd round pick.

yeah, I don't understand Musa to Balt. Chester Taylor was well-regarded last year, and performed well in limited playing time (must have good hands, because he picked up a few receiving yards almost every game).

Dallas is on fire. They get CB, Newman, a C, Johnson, and TE,Witten. They have tremendously upgraded there needs. Now with the next two picks they will go RB for sure and that means either O. Smith or J. Vargas. This draft has shored up many needs and there not done yet.

I can't even begin to figure out why Oakland would pass on Bailey & Henderson with their two first-round picks, then trade up in the third to take a LB.
