No news per se but in my amatuer ( stress amatuer) op[inion, this head injury looks a lot like the one that put Rich Gannon out of the league a few years ago. Green is an aging QB who put up good numbers but I think this will spell his retirement. He still has yet to face the Chargers twice, still has Baltimore to go, Steelers on the road and Jacksonville if you league plays all the way to week 17.
I could be wrong and I hope I am. No one likes to see a guy get a career ending injury. But if I were a betting man, I think Green is done and is out of the league after that hit.
IMHO, even when Green comes back, he doesn't have a ton of value. The Chiefs can't seem to get their offense in gear, and I think he suffers as a result. I drafted him reluctantly, and will probably be dropping him this week to pick up someone else.
I don't think he will perform well enough later in the year to justify taking the roster space up now, when that space could be filled by guys who are running hot right now like Pennington or Grossman. Just my .
QB Trent Green says he feels a little woozy at times, but is generally feeling "okay" from the severe concussion he sustained in week one against the Cincinnati Bengals. He is scheduled to visit a neuologist tomorrow to determine his future status, which was originally pegged at four to six weeks. "I absolutely want to play again this year," Green said.
--------------
I would say if you have a viable option, just drop him.
