Always liked this word:

Bivouac (BIV-uh-whack)
Use it in a sentence

On the road with Kerouac
Sheltered in his bivouac
On this road we’ll never die
That's a weirdly structured sentence.

It's a song lyric. Not only can I use it in a sentence, I have verse on recall!

It's Weezer.

"Holiday"

Chorus:

We will write a postcard to our friends
and family in free verse

Interlude:

(On the road with Kerouac
Sheltered in his bivouac
On this road we'll never die)

Just getting a hammock for the front yard, this came up a lot. You know, tactical hammocks, very technical.

Wait, what? Is this a cultural reference I'm missing or did this really come up a bunch when you were buying a hammock? I get the feeling that I'm missing something here. . .

It really comes up - basically any hammock with a rain/bug cover edges into a bivouac. They often just shorten it to bivy hammock.
