Glenn Beck (1 Viewer)

George Soros is much more of a concern than Glen Beck.

Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see.

- John Lennon

Follow the money people, Soros has a history.

Glenn has some new material to frantically discuss...

Economic power shifting from U.S. to China, Soros says (Nov. 15, 2010)

Global governance is faltering and China's grip on the global economy is getting tighter, says philanthropist and former hedge fund manager George Soros.

Mr. Soros chose not to attack the U.S. for revving up its printing presses in its new round of quantitative easing, focusing instead on China's foreign exchange policies. Speaking at a gala hosted by the Canadian International Council in Toronto, Mr. Soros said China's devalued currency manipulates global trade and distorts the global economic recovery.

“[President Barack] Obama got the short end of the stick,” Mr. Soros said. Not only is the President getting attacked within his own country, foreign governments are against him even though China's policies are just as significant. In Mr. Soros's view, both countries are at fault, yet he added that both of their policies can work together, if used in moderation. “There ought to be some kind of balance or compromise between them,” he said.

Mr. Soros did not let the U.S. off the hook, noting that quantitative easing has “harmful side effects.”

“History shows that it gives rise to asset bubbles and it disrupts the foreign-exchange markets,” he said.

Mr. Soros devoted much of his talk to China because the country's rapid rise is taking place at the exact same time that the U.S. is losing its global economic dominance. “There is a really remarkable, rapid shift of power and influence from the United States to China,” Mr. Soros said, likening the U.S.'s decline to that of the U.K. after the Second World War.

Because global economic power is shifting, Mr. Soros said China needs to change its focus. “China has risen very rapidly by looking out for its own interests,” he said. “They have now got to accept responsibility for world order and the interests of other people as well.”

Mr. Soros even went so far as to say that at times China wields more power than the U.S. because of the political gridlock in Washington. “Today China has not only a more vigorous economy, but actually a better functioning government than the United States,” he said, a hard statement for him to make because he spent much of his life donating to anti-communist groups in Eastern Europe.

The Soros as traitor to Jewish faith thing is monstrous. How repugnant. Even IF what he was saying wasn't a complete miss-characterization of what happened, how can you question the decisions someone makes when their lives are put on the line? Absolutely disgusting.

Don't forget the meaning behind changing their last name. :bs:

Still waiting for our local yokel right wingers to come against Beck (in this, the Beck thread) and his unforgivable statements.Integrity. Do they have it?

I haven't watched much of Beck lately because he's become somewhat born again since his big event in DC. Too preachy. But his show yesterday focusing on Edward Bernays was really interesting.

What is unforgiveable?
Well, for one, Beck appears to be a pretty vicious anti-semite.And he is a big crybaby.
:goodposting: He must also be anti-white.

Doubtful. Until recently, this was his religion's teachings on race. This great teaching video from his church explains their teachings on race.

This isn't Beck but Shirley Sherrod sues Breitbart over that video -- and he gets served papers right at CPAC. :goodposting:

Andrew Breitbart, the owner of several conservative Web sites, was served at the conference on Saturday with a lawsuit filed by Shirley Sherrod, the former Agriculture Department employee who lost her job last year over a video that Mr. Brietbart posted at his site biggovernment.com.

The video was selectively edited so that it appeared Ms. Sherrod was confessing she had discriminated against a farmer because he was white. In the suit, which was filed in Washington on Friday, Ms. Sherrod says the video has damaged her reputation and prevented her from continuing her work.

Mr. Breitbart said in a statement that he “categorically rejects the transparent effort to chill his constitutionally protected free speech.” SARAH WHEATON

Good. This isn't the first time he has lied to slander someone and I hope it costs him big time.

I'm stuck in this waiting area listening to Fox News. Glenn Beck is in his last throes and on the verge of tears already.

Please god make the bad man go away.

[FROM THE LINKED ARTICLE]"...the event 'turned into a hostile free-for-all,' according to his Web site.

He and his family weathered verbal abuses and slurs against conservatives, and an angry moviegoer even kicked a glass of wine onto his wife,Beck said in a video on his site."

Since this guy has otherwise demonstrated to have such a firm grip on reality, I'm inclined to believe his report completely.

Eyewitnesses dispute Beck's claims

He's propped himself up to be a millionaire-type of celebrity who is very controversial. Sorry, but with that type of success comes the risks of having your privacy privileges revoked. You can't have your cake and eat it to. Sounds like the eyewitness accounts are quite the same as the tearful story he's telling on the radio.

The boy who cried wolf would be jealous of how Beck distorts things.

If it was so bad, he should have left. Showing up to a public show with two body guards, presumably, is only asking for something to happen or gives credence to saying something happened. I am not favoring what that girl wrote either however if the event was so dramatizing, you don't sit there through the whole movie and watch.
