GMen cut Andre Brown (1 Viewer)

Brown was a favorite dynasty prospect on here before his injury last season. I thought that the injury he sustained was too severe to come back but it seemed like he was having a good preseason. It is interesting to me that they released him.

Looks like the Giants are running with Bradshaw, Jacobs and Ware. They must be comfortable with the health of these three.

I like him as a RB, beat writers said he was the best pass cather of all the Giant RBs. I'm disappointed the Giants didn't keep him, especially when the team told Zak DeOssie that his only job is long snapping. Seems like a waste to use a roster spot on a guy that is only a longsnapper, has to be someone that can do it along with other duties if a back up LB is able to.

Though he signed with Denver, Brown has trouble staying healthy. If he can stay healthy this year, I think this would be something interesting to watch given that Moreno is not 100%. Some folks said that Brown has the skills to be an every down back, now that he's in Denver. What role does he have? We'll soon see.

I like Brown as well and like you was disappointed that the Giants couldn't find room for him, but Giants fans should know the value of a long snapper or does the name "Trey Junkin" not make you still break out into a cold sweat?

 Junkin.I'd get Seubert learning Longsnapping. Koets is horrid at regular snaps so he's out.

This was a horrible cut by the Giants, IMO. Granted, I don't have access to the trainer's report, but Brown looked good. Remember, he was one of the most impressive players in training camp last year before getting hurt. I was really high on him coming out & he didn't disappoint in TC.

Denver got a steal if Brown is close to 100%. I have no idea what the G-Men were thinking. It might have something to do with special teams makeup, but if so, they made a big mistake despite the importance of STs.

G-men got Reynaud in the Rosenfels deal from Minny. He's looked pretty good in preseason and can do a lot (KR/PR, catch, run, ST)

I hated cutting him, but he looked OK in camp. Not great. Not bad. Just OK.Considering he's recovering from a devastating injury that makes a blown ACL look like a paper cut, and he has a significant injury history, I wouldn't say he's a steal.A solid signing by Denver and hopefully Brown can carve out a roll for himself.

That's the thing.Coughlin was not happy with his special teams play and when Hixon went down, they lost they returner and gunner and no one has really emerged.Reynaud, Cruz and Calhoun are all better on specials than Brown.

I think Reynaud may turn out to be the best part of that deal. He's very versatile and could fill a lot of roles for the team.

Considering the ruptured achilles tendon, I was surprised how good Brown looked (& he should improve even further). Surgery techniques/injury rehab/medicine has come a long, LONG way in recent years. Brown has a bright future ahead of him in Denver, IMO. I bet McDaniels and company were doing cartwheels when he became available on waivers. :)

Hopefully, he's the only part of that deal to see the field, although I'm great with Sage as a backup.
