Going to a Giants game on Sunday (1 Viewer)

Fight The Power
Will be my first time at the stadium. I got some good tips last year when I went to the Eagles vs 49ers game thought I would try again.

Take BART. Parking is expensive, and the area around the stadium is a zoo. Not to mention you might get clogged up on the Bridge/MacArthur Maze. There is a streetcar that goes right from the Embarcadero station to the ballpark: http://www.sftravel.com/sanfranciscogiants.html

I would just park at the Pittsburg/Bay Point station and ride all the way in. You also get to take in a little more scenery, and such.

When we went to the games from Sac we headed down 80 and hit the El Cerrito del Norte BART station to downtown and then hopped on the Muni streetcar to the stadium. It's been a while, but you catch the streetcar underground right where (or very near) where BART dumps you off.

Parking in the East Bay and BARTing into the city is certainly the best call. Get off at Embarcadero and take the N (or other trains) heading out to the ballpark.

Thanks for the help.

I didn't know they moved my post to the baseball forum.

Well the BART sounds like a good idea but we will be driving down Saturday morning hanging out in the city and then going to the game Sunday afternoon. So we will have our car in SF.

Any tips on getting tickets? I think I'm going to see if I can buy them from a scalper day of game. If that fails I will just buy them at the window.

Can anybody recommend any seats? I don't want to pay much as I'm going more just to check out the stadium. As a Twins the will be lesser quality baseball then I am used to.

Use ebay to get your tickets. Most sellers have pictures of the field taken directly from the seats. You are wasting time using any other method IMHO. I don't even know how many scalpers would be at a Giants/Twins game, they come in handy more for sold out type of events.

I bumped this because I'm goin to SF manana for the Dodgers/Giants series this weekend and have come to find how difficult it is to score Giants tickets. Affordable ones, anyway. A buddy of mine who lives there is also striking out, which surprised me.

Some of the friends I'm going with already have great seats, so my current strategy is to wait an inning or two, scoop a single out front, and then see if I can't find something nearby, with them stubbing me down...

Any other ideas?

It's going to be a tough ticket: Giants-Dodgers, battling for first place, weekend series. Good luck. Go Giants.
