Going to BP for autograph/pictures (1 Viewer)

I'm taking my 5 yr old to her first game tomorrow (Braves vs Indians). I'd like to see if I can get a picture of her with Hafner or Pheralta, someone on the Tribe. The game is at 1:05. What time do you think I should be there for BP? Do they even allow that kind of interaction? Is it different for the visiting team?

Get there early and see what happens...

chances of getting a picture of the player with your kid are somewhere around none IMHO;

chances of getting an autograph... a little bit better but still realize that these players are there to do their job - get ready to play the game;

Spring Training, odds are quite good. Regular games are much tougher.. especially for star players. It's easy to get younger or lesser known guys IMHO. Just have your daughter smiling big... and stand along the infield wall near the dugout... as close as you can get (on the OF side.. not Home side) and you should do alright.

Have a ball and a sharpie ready (cap off) and have her be as polite as possible

yeah, get there real early, see what time they start letting the public in for BP.

It really depends on the player. Some players are really cool, even during the regular season. Some players are not too kind, even during spring training.

If you're going to the visitors side, there will be a lot fewer people lining up for autographs, so chances are slightly better.

I've done this a bunch of times with my son for the Mets at Shea.

Usually for a 1:05 game the stadium will open at 10:00ish to let people watch batting practice.

You need to find out what time the stadium opens.

Just got back from the game. Got there plenty early, went down along the third base line. Got a good close look, and some near misses on foul balls, but neither team did autographs. :bag:
