This idea that you fire a 13-3 coach for losing a playoff game is beyond ridiculous. Compare how the Boys played this year than at any point under Parcells and I just don't see how Wade SHOULD be under fire in any way, shape or form. That said...if what I'm hearing is true, Baltimore is going to go HARD today/tomorrow for Garrett and that may force Jones' hand IF he thinks Garrett is the next great NFL coach.
This is what is interesting to me.....what the Dallas management really thinks of Garrett. In no way shape or form do I think Wade Phillips deserves to be fired or anything like that for losing that game. But I heard (just a rumor of course) that Garrett is basically going to be groomed to be the next Dallas head coach. Phillips is getting older and will probably only coach a couple more years and that Garrett if he keeps up the good work would be the next head coach of the Cowboys. Now, I guess if that's kind of true....then the ball is also back in Garrett's hands. He has a great relationship with Tony Romo...is it good enough for him to maybe wait around 2 more years? How much does he like coaching with the Cowboys?I don't know these answers but I can speak for myself. I love the Cowboys and if I was told I could pretty much be the head coach in a couple years and I got along great with a young QB already I'd probably stick around. Garrett is young enough where he doesn't have to take off and go coach.....he's got years and years of coaching in front of him.I'd like Jerry Jones to be up front with Garrett, tell him how much he means to the team and his future plans for him and let Garrett make a decision based upon that. If he chooses to go to Baltimore or anywhere else knowing all of that, then good riddens.....

I mean good luck! /joking
