I love the idea that you type in "ocean" in the search box and it pulls up every photo you have in your library with a picture of the ocean in it..

pretty creepy to think how much google knows about you and how much they are learning with each keystroke but this thing is awesome

it recognized my 3rd grade school picture amongst pictures of myself. Didn't care for a picture from the zoo's gorilla house, but then I noted that I'm in the picture in the corner.

so this is for photos only? no brainer... looking forward to setting this up and fooling around with it.

I really need to get my work files backed up- 1/2 a terrabyte or so. advise for that?

So I back up my photos to this. Can I then safely delete from phone freeing up space without deleting from cloud? So basically a one way sync. Upload only?

Flickr has that now also.. Was a little creepy to go to "Camera Roll" and see just how much they can deduce from the images

Videos up to 1080p as well. You can take a picture of each file and store them for free that way.

not exactly sure because I've been using it for a while, too but the search thing is definitely new..

it was announced at the Google conference thing yesterday..

They always made sharing of Google Photos challenging if you weren't part of Google+ (at least that was my experience). This has been improved and to me, that's a big improvement.

Good point, I sent a bunch of text versions of the photo awesome thing for the first time. Pretty cool
