I see that he is highly rated here but had an awful preseason after looking really good in the playoffs. Any Pats fans worried about him? Any talk in NE about bringing in another kicker? In a draft masters format (no FA pickups) I grabbed him with a weak backup and I'm kind of nervous.

As a Super Bowl contender who will probably be in some close games, I can't see the Pats keeping him around if he's hitting 55% in the regular season.

He's a free agent in one of my leagues right now(negative points for missed FGs). I've almost picked him up a few times, but missing 2 last week is a concern. The FBGs ranking still have him as top 5 but most of the guys I play with are staying away from him for now. Last season wasn't all that impressive and this preseason certainly left a lot to be desired. I believe the NE will move the ball and score a lot, but I'm not so sure Gostkowski will last.

I think the Pats are very happy with him. If not I'm sure they would have had a look-see at another kicker by this point in the season. Of course if he ####s the bed during the regular season I don't think they would hesitate to go in a different direction.

I'm concerned, but I think Belichick isn't as much. If Gostkowski becomes unreliable from more than 35yds out, BB will probably just go for it on 4th down anyway (prior to the 4th quarter) with the added weapons on O this year and what looks to be a stout D. If Ghost starts having his kickoffs come up very short in addition to FG issues, then BB will quickly shop around.

He should be good, we all forget it was PRESEASON, not to mention his leg is good from 50+ easy!!!

Saw several quotes in camp/preseason where BB said he was very happy with Gostkowski. He proved his mettle in the playoffs. No worries. 2 of his FG's and 1 XP miss last year were due to blocks. He did miss two easy ones in the preseason, but I'd rather have it happen then.

After he expelled his rookie jitters Gostowski was pretty much $$$. Preseason doesn't have me feeling warm & fuzzy, but he'll be fine. At a minimum average. And with the Pats O, I think he'll be a Top 5 kicker.
