I'm a big fan of the Oxford comma because it reduces ambiguity. My workplace has a writing style that foregoes the oxford comma. I get annoyed everytime I dont see a comma where it should be.

Of course, there are two types of people - those that can handle ambiguity andWithout the Oxford comma:
I love my parents, Lady Gaga and Humpty Dumpty.
This sentence could be misread as saying your parents are Lady Gaga and Humpty Dumpty.
With the Oxford comma:
I love my parents, Lady Gaga, and Humpty Dumpty.
Now it's clear you're listing three separate entities: your parents, Lady Gaga, and Humpty Dumpty.
That last comma before "and" is the Oxford comma — it can help avoid ambiguity.

But do you use a comma before the last of a series like the cool people do?Screw the oxford comma, never needed it 50 years prior so not using it today. Learnt the old school way to Not use a comma after the last of a series and it works if you work it.
