Great article on the Raiders (1 Viewer)

Jamarcus Russell SUCKS.
He looked better than I expected. Yeah he made a few very bad throws, made some bad decisions, displayed an alarming propensity to drop the ball, but it seemed like he was getting better as the game went along. What makes you think he sucks from last night?
I didnt say he was worthless, or he had nothing at all.He does throw a very accuracte ball on crossing patterns under 20 yards.Even better when he is moving a little bit.Why does he suck?Bad pocket presence. Bad vision. Poor accuracy on passes going verticle. He throws to an area, doesnt hit his man with an accurate throw, he lofts it.Which is a lack of touch, understanding and confidence in his own ability. He killed his team last night. The fumble and missing Curry. He demonstrated no leadership that was visable, just a slouch of the shoulders and go hide.Do not take this as the gosple, its an observation... but I sat with 2 other FBGs (not forum whores) who are true footballguys (not in the website sense, in the real world sense) and none of us were Raider or Bronco fans. We had two more Raider fans with us and we all dissected the entire game. Russell is a serious problem. At least his current incarnation. And last night
Pretty much disagree with this entire post. I really don't see a point in arguing it, I think people saw what they saw last night, or wanted to see, but he gave them the best QB play that have had since Gannon, it was his second start ever, and he never entered the game when he wasn't down by at least a TD.His future is incredibly bright, IMO.
I stated "last night".But what I stated from last night is true. You can disagree with his future, but he was terrible last night. But then again, you are a Raider fan, so you should disagree, its natural.
In the position he was in last night, in his second start, what kind of numbers would you expect from a QB that didn't SUCK? I thought he did great, and made about as many mistakes as I expected.Dismissing my opinion because I am a Raider fan is lame.

massraider NEVER wears rose-colored glasses when talking about his team... he calls it like he sees it.
Is this sarcasm? Or?Maybe he didnt watch the game last night? (<===I know this cant be true)

I expected much better quarterback play.I wasnt discussing numbers in a fantasy sense.

I was discussing in terms of real football.

That may be our dissconnect.

You're better off not debating BigSteelThrill.

My observation from the game I sat and observed isnt really up for debate. He wanted to debate "his future is bright", which is something that is very hard to quantify.Im not debating that; beyond he looked like a bad NFL Qb last night, which happens to be his current incarnation.

Thank you for proving my point.

Fargas looked good. That is all I got.
Fargas and Michael Bush were a solid tandem IMO. That is the reason that the Raiders would have been much better off to address one of their many weaknesses in the draft rather than draft McFadden. Not to mention that I thought McFadden was over-rated to start with. It was a pitiful display last night.

Whatever the complete opposite of sarcasm is.... it's that.Venture into the Raiders thread sometime. He is more critical of the team than any of us. He's a realist.

I have respect for mass and his posts, which is why it was odd when he just flatly "disagreed" with all of it. Seemed out of place.

I am not just dismissing your opinion, but I think when two people see things completely the opposite, I don't see even a middle ground. You and I saw JaMarcus last night, we watched the same game, but reached completely different conclusions. I am not changing my mind that he played well last night (relatively), and I cannot see any argument I may make that would change your mind, considering how strong your original comment was.

Not a shot at you, just saying when two views on what was seen last night are so far apart, I don't see the point.
