Great Steve Young insult to Irvin (1 Viewer)

What a great read.......it's a nice time killer while drinking coffee.

BTW.........Irvin and Scott should both be hung out to dry behind the shed. 2 worthless MF's.

Just as amusing was that other Espn tool, Stuart Scott's reply to defend Irvin, "The man did win 3 Superbowl rings"Not sure who I dislike listening to more...Irvin or Scott.
:goodposting: tough call, there..does anyone actually call Philadelphia the 'ill-a-dell', as Stuart Scott ALWAYS says, to ad naseum?!? I live in northern NJ , I've never heard anyone EVER call Philly anything other than Philly..never heard of the ill-a-dell..he's a dope.
I've heard Illadelph -- popularized by a rapper (Schooly D, maybe?). Never Illadel.

Illadelph = Philly.I'm not sure where it originated, but I first heard it from The Roots who are a from philly. In fact, they had an album in 1996 called Illadelph Halflife. to The Roots

Ill disagree with Collinsworth. He almost always has some insightful to say - he just might not cmmunicate all that well for TV. FULLY agree with Boomer, CANT STAND HIM and his hauty tauty attitude.

I'm sure that unless he tones down his pompous agenda Collinsworth new partner Bryant Gumbel will have to be included in my "Can't listen to" list. This should make for an interesting booth.

Is it me or does Stu Scott's eye look worse every time I see it. That thing was giving me the heebie jeebies last night. He had a real Edgar Allen Poe mystique about it.
Hey Joe, this quote from Houndirish is freakin' "Random Shots" material. Classic.
:goodposting: Funniest thing I've read on this site for a long, long time...
I've always stayed away from that one. Hair is about as personal as I'll get there mocking the guys for physical things. Making fun of the guys' eye just seems too mean.J

Normaly, I'd agree. But the use of Edgar Allen Poe is beyond perfect.

I second the motion.Joe, you have to admit, you almost spit out your java when you read the Edgar Allen Poe reference. My office carpet is evidence that the word "almost" didn't apply to me.

I thought the funniest part of last weeks show was when Michael Irvin said "I was a victim" in reference to the treatment the Philly fans gave him the week before and TO the day before. He said it so seriously and so somberly. Michael Irvin and TO victims. Just too funny.

The context was that Irvin was ragging on Plummer saying that after witnessing tonight's game Denver had no chance of getting to the Superbowl.Ridiculous statement since Plummer basically won this game for Denver against perhaps the best D in the game. I'm glad Young set him right.
I guess Irvin wasn't far off on this one either, huh? Maybe ranking Baltimore in the top 5 and not Denver was pretty smart.
Well, before the Philly/Dallas game last night, he had Dallas as the best team in the league, at which point, Ditka called him out for being an idiot.
Maybe his mention about Bledsoe not giving TO enough opportunities was pretty insightful as with Romo, Dallas may actually be the best/one of the best teams in the league. Not trying to say Irvin is great, but you know he did actually play for a pretty damn good team and a pretty damn good coach, so maybe he is dumb in real life but not so dumb in terms of football.
