Does anyone know if Jennings has moved up to #2 on the depth chart yet? I think Ferguson had been running as the #2 recently. Anyone who remembers Javon Walker knows the value that the other Favre WR can have, especially with how much GB is going to have to throw.

Unfortunately, today is the first day we can pick up free agents in my league. I wanted to get the jump on everyone while they are asleep. He he he....

Based on his preformance so far and the hype around hm he is worth a WW pickup.. OMG that's a no brainer..

You guys are in for a disappointment when GB signs Branch....
:link: The Steelers and Vikings are reportedly considering trading for Deion Branch. When they see the price tag, they might lose any interest. New England wants a first-round pick and Deion wants to be paid like Reggie Wayne. What it does show is that both teams are unhappy with their mediocre receiving corps. Minnesota makes a little more sense following the likely loss of Koren RobinsonSeriously I don't think they would make a move for Branch.. I seriously doubt Branch is moved.. The demands are too high..

No link. SPECULATION right now. Steelers won't won't pay it, but Vikings are in a bind becuase of KRob (btw, he is gone).GB is the wild card. They need a top WR & I do beleive they have the cap to take Branch on. Besides, who's #1 pick would NE want first? GB, MIN, or PIT?

To me... GB makes no sense. They don't pay Walker who proved he is a stud in that offense, but they will pay Branch and give up a #1 to get him. Not to mention, they have a rookie WR that they are extremely high on. I would say that the only team desperate enough to do it (out of the three) is the vikings. I wish the Eagles were desperate, because their offense would be unstoppable with a solid #1.

I'd be shocked if GB made a major move for a WR. Favre has done more with less at WR than anyone else I can remember over their career. Favre is in for one last hurrah. He has Driver for his security blanket. He knows Ferguson. Jennings seems to be everything advertised. Any new WR would have no chemistry with Favre, little to no experiense with the offense (depending on who it is), it just doesn't make sense to me given GB's history.

The idea that GB "needs" a top WR is silly.

They already have one, named Don Driver. He looks great and excels in the system.

Anyone have any good inside info on how GB management feels about starting Ferguson, Gardner, or Jennings opposite Driver? Are they concerned with having a rookie there? Ferguson seems to be a complete waste every year... why have him start again?

Javon Walker's rookie season: 319yds 1TD. Jennings has a shot at starting later this year, but he's still a rookie. Walker was a beast. Using Walker's 3d year breakout numbers as a comparison for Jennings' rookie year is silly.

The problem is see with Jennings is the long term outlook. Going from Favre to A. Rogers in a year or two is a significant hit. Jennings value IMO is largely based on the fact that he's in a passing offense with a gunslinger at the helm. When that slinger leaves (which won't be too many years) what's Jennings value then?

I don't think it is far fetched to think that Jennings could have a good season if he is moved to the #2 WR this year.

In Walker's rookie year, Walker was behind Driver and Terry Glenn. Currently, the only person in front of Jennings is Ferguson. I think it is realistic that Jennings will get a chance to see as many balls as Walker did his second year and could duplicate Walker's second season numbers of 716-9 (maybe not as many TDs). This doesn't give Jennings much more hope than a mediocre backup with potential in a redraft.

Man Farve was targeting him a lot.. I am startting to think this kid will have a very good season. I am now targeting him late in the draft in EVERY league.

I'm a bit worried about the drops. Seemed like Favre was rifling it in there to see if the kid could handle the pace. But he looked quick and very athletic. He jumps like he's spring-loaded.

Did he start in the game last night? I figured it would be easier to find out here than in the Game thread
I missed the start of the game although he did catch balls early. Not sure if he was teh #2 or #3 though.. BTW the dropped passes isn't huge right now. If it continues it will be but I think they might have been testing him.. Still have to love the value this kid is holding..

The yardage is a little more realistic (could be a bit higher), as is 6 or so TDs. Favre is locked onto Driver. WR2 & Wr3 will be getting the leftovers. The year people "remember" from Walker is his 1400/12 season. implying that type of production from "the other Favre WR" is unrealistic, and gives too little credit to Walker.

 What's huge—or rather what's very encouraging at this early stage—was the fact that he was getting open consistently. There were even a couple routes where he made it look easy.

Drafted Jennings very late in a draft, last night. He is listed as the #2 on FBG's updated depth charts, plus with Driver on my team and a weak WR core (Driver/Horn/M Jones/Mi Clayton/T Taylor) he gives a little insurance because Driver always looks like he is one awkward stretch away from IR.
