Greg Lewis WR-PHI (1 Viewer)

With the injuries to Donte' Stallworth and Reggie Brown last night (not to mention Brian Westbook), does Greg lewis jump up in value? I am in serious need of WR help, and I'm wondering if this guy is worth taking a chance on.

Regardless of history, he has to have some upgrade value. If both are out... and add Westbrook out for receiving .. then it's gonna be Lewis and Haskett.Pick him up if you have the space. I did.

If you're desperate pick him up but monitor the status of Brown and Stallworth. Regardless of who the wrs are, the Eagles will throw. That's their oxygen....

Lewis is the deep threat guy. He's got less value in a PPR than Baskett. I'd take Baskett over him, but if either Stallworth or Brown are out, he will play, generally int he slot, and run deep routes. He's mroe like Stallworth than Brown, if that helps.

Worthy of a pick-up if you did it last week and started him... otherwise... no.
:goodposting: I was just going to go with the standard 'no', but this answer is much better.

ah FF - tell me again why we play this game? :lmao: In a league where you can change players that have not yet played, I have Stallworth.I was lucky in Week 3 to catch an email that he was going to be inactive and subbed in Reche Caldwell just before game time - hey at least it saved me 7.6 points (ppr) instead of a zero.So coming into Week 4 I knew there was a chance that Stallworth might or might not play with the hammy condition. Since the game was on Monday night I wanted to have a player I could sub in if necessary so I spent a few bucks to get Lewis (only reasonable Eagle or Packer available). So Monday afternoon, I am watching all the pre game shows - see him stretching and warming up along with Westy and have him in the lineup - inactives come in and he is not on the list and said to be "ready to go" - heck looks even better with Westy on the pine. I am only down six points in my matchup for the week and early on Stallworth gets 3.6 for his first reception........................ :bag: yeah I know you are laughing already - it was also his last catch - meanwhile Lewis, still in residence on my bench scores 21+ :banned: :banned:

noone really cares, but that was EXACT same thing that happened to me...picked up Lewis incase Stallworth couldn't go and lost my game by 3 points, with Lewis on my bench .... point to the shirt

sorry guys for the hard luck stories . . . that stinks . . . I was up 12 on someone that had Stallworth and PHI defense yet to play, and after Favre (gosh he stinks) threw his 2nd pick I quickly flipped of the TV and went to bed; somehow I salvaged a tie (due to Stall's 1 catch performance) . . .
