can you guess the player and season before you look?

(or at least guess one of the honorable mentions?)

hint #1: the busts are based on a horrible season that followed a great season

hint #2: the flex position of the greats is from the USFL

hint #3: sometimes it isn't the most gaudy stats overall, but the gaudy stats PLUS going nuts during the fantasy playoffs that win the spot

hint #4: when you guess the kicker think "multiple position flexibility" LOL

Greats: QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/Flex/TE/K/Def

Busts: QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/TE

One-Hit Wonders: QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/TE

K: Gostkowski 2007 (incorrect)

How far back in time do they go? Do they have guys going back to before the 1970 league merger?

I'll stick with post-1970 seasons. Going totally from memory ... might be off a little on the specific seasons:

QB: Marino 1984 - WAY ahead of the pack with 48 TDs

RB: OJ Simpson 1973 - 2000 yds back when 1100 yds was considered elite

RB: John Riggins 1983 - 24 TDs was way out in front

WR: Isaac Bruce 1995? Awesome season, but had lots of company

WR: Marvin Harrison 2005 (?) - the year he caught 140 balls

WR: Rice 1995? More yards than Bruce 1995. Thought Rice 1987 would be a hammer-lock :lmao:

Flex: Herschel Walker 1986 (?) - you said ex-USFL guy ... he had one crazy year for Dallas

TE: Todd Christensen 1984 - tons of receptions & yds, think he was way ahead of the pack. 12 TDs too, right?

K: Mark Mosely 1983 - I think this is the post-1970 highh-points season for a kicker. Or maybe it was recently surpassed

Here are my guesses:

QB - Mario 5,000+ yd season

RB - Holmes 27 TD season

RB - LT 31 TD season

WR - Moss 23 TD season

WR - Rice 22 TD season

WR - Clayton 18 TD season

TE - Hirsch 17 TD season, does he qualify as TE????

Flex - SA 28 TD season

for the defense they go WAY back in time and one of the receivers they go back to WWII time

DEF Canton Bulldogs, 1922 — Atop the list of great, useless barroom arguments, you'll find this question: "Who had the greatest defense in NFL history?" The '85 Bears have their supporters, as do the Ravens of '00 and the Steelers of '76. But today, we raise a glass to the undefeated Bulldogs of '22, a team that limited opponents to 15 total points over a 12-game season — 15 points! They managed to shutout seven of their first eight opponents, and their defense/special teams actually recorded more touchdowns (4) than they allowed (2). That's some dominance, gamers. If you've ever wondered why the Pro Football Hall of Fame is located in Canton, Ohio, then you should really read up on the Dogs.
In some leagues I play in this D could legitimately go in the first round.

I loved seeing Braylon Edwards on the bust list. He has single handedly crippled my dynasty team for a couple of years now.

I just traded him straight up for pick 3.12 in the rookie draft after spending top dollar on him in our inagural auction 2 years ago.
