Ugh, I swore I'd stay out of the deluge of Pats threads, but since I'm a J-E-T-S fan, I can't resist.
First the spread: If the Eagles are +22...then 24 may be low for this game. Assuming the health of all players involved and the Pats still being undefeated. No way would we see a 4 TD spread, but, 27 has potential for this game.
Second, players sitting: Not happening until the pats are up by at least 30. Of course, that could be at halftime, but I think Belicheck is taking a certain amount of pride in 1) the undefeated season and 2) Brady's TD record to be. It easily could be a situation much like Buffalo this past Sunday where bye the end of the third quarter, the Jets might just want to get to the locker room. Although I doubt Mangini will let them quit.
Third, I don't think the Pats cover a spread that big against the Jets. Yeah, I'm a fan I know, but the emotion and the fact that the Jets have been playing better as the season goes on could keep this to a "sane" total. I'm in no way predicting a Jets win, I think they "could" cover by a safe margin.
