Guillotine Waiver Wire - Week 2 (1 Viewer)

Figured I would start a thread for this and see if it gets any traction. The team that was cut in my league had Herbert, Jeanty, Walker, and Jefferson.

I don’t need a QB, so unlikely to be bidding on Herbert. But I’m sure someone will spend 5-10%.

The slow Jefferson start puts me a little on edge, but I’m guessing at least one team will go 40-50%+ for him, no?

Same with Jeanty, but maybe 30%?

KW3 could be a target, but how much would one spend on him while he’s currently on the lesser side of a 50/50 split?

Probably pretty invidiaulistic but my rule of thumb has been:

Top 3 picks (as of now) = 50 percent of your budget

Trey McBride (the only elite elite TE at the moment) 30 percent, the TE is a big separator once you hit november

A first rounder, = 25 percent

2nd rounder 20 percent

Anyone else I"m basically barrel scraping, maybe 5-10 percent if a particular need at a position

After Week 1 .. someone spent 90% on Chase .. I got Achane for 25%

After Week 2 .. Gibbs is best player so will probably go for a 50% bid and I am sure he will go higher. I could use a Flex Upgrade. Herbert and London next best. Will throw a 15% on London

I may throw $100 at Allen and $50 at Bucky, but I'm not terribly interested in any of them. My thought is to build out my team's depth in the beginning, then target higher value players later on. As of now I've scored the 2nd most points both weeks and have the highest average points per week. It's my first time playing this format, but so far I find it very intriguing.

I may throw a couple bucks at BTJ and Ladd. My team is Herbert, Chase Brown, Henderson, Puka, Tet, Kraft and Pearsall with Mooney and new FAs mentioned above.

Jefferson feels like the big swing piece here. Even with the slower start, it only takes one or two good weeks for him to look like the steal of the season, so I’d expect someone to push 40–50% pretty easily. Jeanty’s tougher to peg just because his role could shift, but 25–30% sounds about right if someone’s RB-needy. KW3 is tricky since he’s on the “smaller half” of that split, but RB depth dries up fast in this format, so even 15–20% wouldn’t be crazy. Herbert probably goes cheaper unless someone’s desperate at QB.
