I wouldn't do it. With those starting positions first base-UTIL is alot deeper than SS and Han Ram is still young. I am also expecting Alberts knee ligs to start giving way any time know from the juice.

I rank Pujols over Hanley, but with Morneau already in the mix it becomes a need-based judgment.

If you covet the SS stats that Hanley gives you I'd still make the trade for Pujols. You could swap him for a stud SS (besides Hanley) and a stud at nearly any other position.

You could probably get Tulo + much more for Pujols if you ever wanted to get rid of him. The guy has at least 5 more years of being the offensive elite.

I would do the deal. I understand position scarcity, but Pujols is a AAAA reliable hitter. Hanley is great, but plays a taxing position. If this was a redraft, I would have a tough time making the trade. But it is a keeper with 2 utility spots. THere is plenty of room for Morneau and Pujols.

Hard to pass up. Hard to pull the trigger.

On one hand you could have elite power and could add guys like Andrus/Escobar to fill your SS spot later in the draft. On the other hand you give up the peace of mind in having the top dog in probably the most scarce offensive position (SS), other than catcher.

Have you done your own mocks to get a feel for what you may see in the top of the draft? If you have an idea of everyone's keepers, throw them all out and try to mock the first 2/3 rounds if possible. See which team you like better. It also depends on how many 1b's are being kept.
