The Manny thread has me wondering....who else is under preforming, and who should we target as buy low candidates?

Right off the bat(bad pun) Is Teixeira.........this guy is one of the biggest buy low guys out there.

I would actually try to get Manny. He could be had for cheap right now. Manny does this every year. He's a notoriously slow starter but starts heating up around May/June. Definately a good buy right now.Not so sure with Teixeira, He tore it up a couple of years ago but his production went way down last year.

I think Sheffield and Konerko are 2 guys who are going to start heating up pretty quickly here.

Konerko I like, Sheff not so much.......Konerko will heat up as it heats up here in Chicago, as the ball just flies out of Comisky(USCell) But Sheff plays in the vast waste land of DET.....where fly balls go to die.I would very much be buying Konerko though.

Teixeira's performance was way down last season because he had a horrible 1st half in the way of HRs. He actually had a bunch of doubles. After the break, he was 2nd in the Majors in HRs. I would definately target him.

I'd say Yankee Stadium is just as hard on right handed bats as Detroit is. Sheff had no problem putting up #s there.
