Interesting post. Wondering if you have access to such a list for defensive players that might not have as much impact for FF purposes but would still find interesting.

not a whole lot there. meshawn, bryant, and brown probably are about the only ones that could get more than a NFL min contract. most will retire, and move on, wether they want to or not. i believe dillon already announced his retiement.

In general it will come down to injuries and potential hold outs. The people in bold are the ones that might hold fantasy relevance - you can see I am down on the receivers in general - Meshawn being the exception - he is certainly better than most of the receivers on either the Vikings or Titans roster right now. As far as I understood he was not cut for performance reasons but for saying or doing something stupid. As long as whatever it was will not bring a suspension then he should be a lock to get a job.

Of the running backs I could see Domanick Williams get a call to TC but probably not amout to a roster spot unless that knee is actually working again. Chris Brown, Kevan Barlow and Corey Dillon are certain to get a call when RBs start going down. Culpepper would be the only certainty of a back up job if he is cut but I don't know that he will be - or if cust that he will have fantasy relevance. Basically Oakland and MIN would be the prefered places for him to land before hitting the FA road again next year.

Personnally I hope someone gives Morten Andersen a job but I doubt it will be before one or more of the younger guys brought in flames out.

I think the Titans will ; should consider the ones listed, particularly the bolded names.

I would like to see Kansas City take a flyer on Ian Scott. That defensive line might need an extra body or two especially if the "Tank" Tyler starts to tank, LOL. If nothing else might give his former teamate Alphonso Boone a run for a roster spot plus the kid is still relatively young.

All reports are that the Steelers are keeping close ties with Verron Haynes and have told him they intend to offer him a contract before training camp assuming he passes a physcial.

If Haynes is not ready it wouldn't surprise me to see them bring in someone else because the Steelers are a little thin at RB. I could see Barlow geting a call from the Steelers.

Tomlin knows all about Onterrio Smith and the Steelers shy away from bad apples so I am guessing they will steer clear of him.

Not that anyone cares, but there's been a Derrick Blaylock sighting. He's in the Redskins' camp on a try out basis, as is former fantasy phenom (and fizzle) Zach Hilton.

You would think that Bryant would get a 1 year "show me" deal for someone.
I agree Bryant should get a deal. New England would be a good fit for him, he could share press time with Randy.

I would say everyone in red has an open door opportunity to join a team if they are willing to the lower money many teams will offer. Rogers is a question mark, but someone is going to believe they have the magic bullet to cure him.Kickers come and go, so no one knows where they will show up. They just wait for one of their peers to have a mid-season meltdown and they will put their golf clubs away.

Aaron Brooks will land somewhere, that's without question. If guys like Jeff George are perennially on GMs speed dial as veteran injury fill ins, Brooks will find a team or two that needs him to come in once a starter goes down.

If the papers haven't been filed, he didn't graduate.

The Skins signed Blaylock and made an offer to Hilton, who is expected to sign if he passes his physical.

"You can get him in the 9th round and get the same value as Brady in the 4th"...
LOL . . . those were good times . . . where did all the Brooks fans go???

Blaylock already signed with 'Skins and they say an offer is out to Hilton. Mentioned that Hilton wants to join the 'Skins pretty bad since he grew up in Silver Spings, MD.
