He wont bat 8th every game. There will be games Posada is rested, Giambi is benched, etc. Also 8th in the Yanks lineup is still like batting 6th anywhere else. Last year Cano had 97 RBI batting mostly in the 7/8th hole.

You're so wrong about Matsui. The guy is a professional hitter. In his "down" year last year, he still hit 25/103/.285. That is his floor this year assuming 550 AB's.

There's a big difference between sucking and being injured. When healthy, all Matsui is is a .300 hitter who drives in 100 every year.
