Hakeem Nicks (1 Viewer)

Smells like chicken
For anyone still playing he looks to be out

From a dynasty fututre risk assesment position feels like he is getting banged up an awful lot in his 2 years in the league

Thankfully none of the most recent two injuries carry any long term worry if they heal up initially. Compartment Syndrome and a broken toe are hardly brought about by some injury bug as other players might have.

In regards to starters, Manningham and Hagan

People need to realize that compartment syndrome is not an injury like a broken bone, a torn ligament, a sprained ankle, etc.

What he had was caught and treated really early. Worst thing that happened from it was weakened muscles which he probably worked back up.

You are not going to see an on going trend or lingering affects from that issue. Hakeem Nicks is hardly someone you would call 'injury prone'.

is hagan a good play?
He's the guy to pick up. Washington is nothing special in the defensive category but after Eli had 4 or 5 picks last week, you'd have to think that the Giants want to at least try and run the football. If they have success doing that, I would think they'd run the ball against the Skins. Then again, the Skins stuffed the Jags last week so if the Giants are forced to throw more than they want, Hagan could potentially be a sneaky start although he hasn't done a lot with the time he was given when Knicks was out the last time. After surviving Vick last night, I have had Knicks knocked out and news that Rivers may not play all of the last game due to their season being over. Replacing Knicks with Mike Williams Tampa Bay so I'm not totally bummed but STOP the bleeding here.

Thanks for the timely heads up! I've had Nicks on my teams for two years, and would again next year -- he's a consistent performer and doesn't seem particularly injury prone to me.

Im not so sure of this, he does seem to get banged up quite a bit in his 2 seasons. Maybe not injury prone yet, but he is starting to trend in the wrong direction.
Agreed. I will jump ship on him in the off-season if this continues.
I will admit I don't remember Nicks' injury situation in 2009, but 2010 is a broken toe in Week 17, and Compartment Syndrome which will most likely not come back. And he's only 22-23. Can't really label it nor say he's headed in that direction when a lot of players get dinged up.

If he gets injured in the off-season, I think you can officially call him injury prone.
