Dang, too rich for my blood.Sorry - no, $5/sheet
They're not scored, so you can either a) wait until those games are played to submit your brackets or b) go ahead and fill your bracket out and then you can go back and edit it before the deadline Thursday at noon(ish) if you need to.How do we do the play in games?
Gotcha, makes sense. They're not scored, so you can either a) wait until those games are played to submit your brackets or b) go ahead and fill your bracket out and then you can go back and edit it before the deadline Thursday at noon(ish) if you need to.
SHHHHHH! You gotta keep stuff like this quiet, or more guys are gonna go for it!!T J said:Ya - I'm thinking some people may want Wichita St to win a game or two.
Ya, it's up again. This site has been very reliable in the 10 yrs I've used it.Looks like the site is down....hopefully not permanently?
Thanks and you too$20 sent via paypal for 4 brackets. Good luck all.
This is the biggest issue with the pool. Short answer is no,Question: will you be deleting the non-payors after tip-off?
I'm fine with that answer. The only issue I have is this: Someone who is 30-2 after the first two rounds will definitely pay. That same person may not pay if they are 20-12 in the first two rounds. Just my opinion. I'm still in!This is the biggest issue with the pool. Short answer is no,
I hear this every year and I get it. But I think the pool pot would be cut by at least a third if I did that which I think is worse than the alternative. If you've been in my pool in the past, I send out a Paid/Not Paid list every few days and am pretty aggressive about getting the pot paid. Last year with over 1500 entries, the pot was 96% paid.
Do I think it's uncool as hell that people don't pay, sure I do, but I think I do a good job getting the pot as whole as possible which benefits the winners.
I understand if you don't like how I do it and if you're already in, I can delete your entry if you want to pm me and tell me what entry is yours. Or you can trust that I work people really hard and I'll get the pot as full as possible. If you win, you'll be glad you stuck around 'cause I guarantee the pot will be much bigger than if I deleted non-payees at tipoff.
Ya, the site itself is pretty cool. The goodies kick in after the first weekend (Best Results and What If).This pool is gonna be awesome! When I saw how big it's gotten I added 2 more to get my total up to 5 brackets.
Also got 2 friends, the wife, dad, and father-in-law in on it.
I really like these sites that have the What-If calculators and all so you can see where you really stand.
Thanks OP!
Thanks - I'm a bulldog on this and having done it this way for years, I have found that the great majority of people are stand-up. I suspect there will be a small percentage that end up not paying, but by and large, my browbeating throughout is fairly effective and helps the payable pot be the max it can be.I'm fine with that answer. Do you keep track of those that don't pay and ban them from future pools?T J said:Thanks - I'm a bulldog on this and having done it this way for years, I have found that the great majority of people are stand-up. I try to. I go back through and delete out of the pool those that I show as no-pays so they don't get the invite the following year. Is it possible someone slips through the cracks? It's possible but I do try to keep people out that haven't paid in a previous pool. There's just so dang many people and I literally personally know maybe 10-15% of the entrants that it's hard to keep it all straight sometimes.Do you keep track of those that don't pay and ban them from future pools?
