NCAA Pool - nearly 2500 brackets in and counting. (1 Viewer)

i played, but i am honestly not a fan of website fees in excess of $300 in addition to a 5% pull.

i understand the why, don't get me wrong.............thx

That’s ok. I’ve heard that before and I guess my thought is that the pot gets so big that those that win are more than happy with their take. Like 5yrs ago I was done in my mind so I said to myself - self, go ahead and do it, grow it, and make it something people look forward to. But make it worth your while. Several people in the pool even suggested that to me so here we are. And obviously I don’t set the price for the site. It’s a little pricier than I prefer but t does a nice job and people seem to like its features so I’ve stuck with since I started using it in 2005.

Good luck if you get in!

I actually don’t see any details at all.
Really? It should open up to a home page with a few paragraphs of info I input and with a menu on the left with a “rules” tab to show scoring.

The good stuff kicks in after the first weekend with the best results and what if tabs.

You have to sign into pickhoops first though.

I've been using the same site for my own pool for the past 17 years.. TJ is right, they have a lot of great statistics, results, historical data etc. on there once the first weekend is over.

My pool is considerably smaller, we will have ~180-190 entrants this year but the site has always been stable, updates quickly and works well. To me, it's worth the $50 it costs me (well, I take it out of the money pool) for them to host it.

In as usual. Just curious, have you figured out a way to ensure people aren't waiting to see how well they're doing before they decide to pay?

Cracks me up. I have funds come in from Venmo, cash app, Apple Pay, Zelle, a few PayPal’s, and some snail mail.

I’m just getting through it all now. I’ve not seen it to be an issue of people actually not paying because their brackets are out. They certainly can’t win. Pay rate is close to 100% (98%ish). The site doesn’t take payment. I wish it did. So gotta do what I can to get it to be something people are confident in. It keeps growing so that to me is a vote of confidence that people refer it to their family friends and co-workers.
