Halo 5 (1 Viewer)

Imagonnagityou

I finished the campaign last night. Got my multiplayer (FFA) ranking - bronze. Yes, I'm that bad.

Oh, and Warzone is an absolute blast. Spawning weapon upgrades and vehicles during the match is soooo fun.

ETA: They're adding BTB at some point soon, which is hostorically where I hang out. But Warzone is a great substitute.

Lastly, all maps they'll be releasing in upcoming years are free. No more killing the MP community with paid map packs.

This was the first halo I didn't buy. I don't really game anymore, but still was curious about the storyline. I watched the walkthrough on YouTube, and I wasn't really impressed with the storyline. It's been downhill ever since the original IMO.

They also made the game teen instead of mature. I didn't seem to notice the downgrade in gore. This is probably wise for the franchise as a whole. It is already considered the fps for younger kids, compared to CoD. Might as well turn it into a franchise that can compete with StarWars.

Been playing it quite a bit lately, surprisingly I love it. I think the ranking system is flawed (if you care about that). But the game is very smooth and shooting is effortless. My only complaints are, the rank placement system, the lack of post game medals, no visible ranks in the lobbies and not really 343i related but I've been getting DDos'd occasionally by try hards.

Also, I created a Spartan Company if anyone is interested in joining.

How is the 60fps? Wasn't that supposed to be the major upgrade with the new console? Is it pretty noticeable?

I'm feeling a little old. My biggest/only gripe about the campaign so far is that there's sensory overload - too much happening at once. It doesn't help that the main bad guys can teleport all over the place. Makes it hard to stay on top of things.

Also my first encounter with the Warden was almost enough to make me throw my controller against the wall until I figured out how to use the incineration cannon.

People have complained the campaign is too easy with the ability of squad mates to revive you. I'm playing heroic solo and it's been about on par with the other games difficulty wise.

It's pretty impressive, I'd say it's fairly noticeable.

Well people that thought Halo 2's ending was unsatisfying should be up in arms again here.

Played war zone for the first time yesterday and was just getting dominated left and right. Probably need to read up on the req system because starting on those big maps with the standard assault rifle is a death sentence.

Have yet to play Warzone, I have enough req cards to play forever. Other than being dominated, what did you think?

I only scratched the surface but it's fun. It's basically a clone of Titanfall's main MP mode. You get random third party bosses that you get a ton of victory points for killing which is an interesting twist. For example, the Warden showed up on my last game yesterday and killing him would give either side enough points for the win. So everyone stops fighting for control of the bases and there was a pretty epic three way fight over the Warden.

Super disappointed they don't have slit screen co-op anymore. Going to wait and buy it used on sale.
Strange feature to get rid of now that TV's keep getting bigger and bigger.
Its a hardware thing. It has to render twice as much and if they want to max out the capabilities for a new game at nice resolution and fps, then split screening will continue to be cut in other games, not just halo.

It hurts more here IMO because Halo's fan base predates Internet gaming on consoles, so there's more of a tradition of getting together to play.

Yeah, unfortunately, and already has. I used to have quite a long list of split screens the old lady and I would play together. I think the only thing I'm looking forward to on the horizon is Gears and Black Ops (I guess Black Ops is out now).

Sucks, I want to play with people sitting next to me on the couch, not some 12 year old stranger. Now we will just wait and pick up games like Halo up on the cheap and take turns playing through the campaign.

I hope it hurts because that's the only way we are getting it back. When I found out I cancelled my pre-order and won't buy the game new. Protesting the only way I really can.
