The Year of the Metal Rat comes right after the Year of the Earth Pig (2019) and before the Year of the Metal Ox (2021)! The years of the Rat are: 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020, and 2032. Chinese Horoscope 2020 For The 12 Animal Signs According to the 2020 Chinese horoscope, the Lunar New Year starts on Saturday, January 25th and ends on February 11th, 2021. The Rat is the first sign from the 12 animals cycle of the Chinese Astrology, and for this reason, 2020 is considered a year of new beginnings and renewals.

The Metal Rat Year is going to be a strong, prosperous, and lucky year for almost all chinese zodiac signs. Everyone will show determination regarding their goals, aspirations, and even their hobbies. This is a great year for founding and evolving. Those who plan to buy real estate, to start a business or to invest money in a long-term project have great chances of being satisfied in the future. But, beware! This type of initiatives will only be successful if they are carefully planned. The Chinese New Year is celebrated every year through sumptuous and colorful festivities. It is the most important celebration, an occasion for familiar reunion, party and two weeks long winter holiday.

What's your sign?

too handsome for the gate
that's actually a thing.

i didn't know that when this racing/breeding partnership i was in w Santa Fe's biggest drug dealer lost a broodmare to blister beetle (a bug that lives on natural alfalfa - with which NM is rife - that is poisonous to horses) and we bought a replacement in Oklahoma that was a granddaughter of Secretariat. Her first foal for us was the most ungodly beautiful thoroughbred i've seen this side of his ancestor. and it was quickly apparent that he was going to be huge - ended up 17.1, 1300+ lbs.

i was in NY writing the Car Wash TV pilot when he was foaled and when i finally made i out to Galisteo to see him i was blown away by this giant chestnut even after having drooled over photographs of him for months. i was standing there, absolutely certain i was looking at the next Triple Crown winner when the ranch mgr asided to me, "Yeah - too handsome to gate" i looked at him like a Martian bummer.

But he was right. Took to the bridle, good turn of foot and all that stuff but, out on the track, he wouldnt turn left - kind of a vital skill for a racehorse. We tried running 2-3-4 horses outside him, but he was so big and fast enuff that he'd carry em wide to the point that no one  would do it anymore. We put him into training a half dozen times at great expense til he was 4yo, always to the same result. Too handsome to gate.

Maybe take the handsome horse to Europe.  But then he might still run straight instead of a right?  Or maybe a quarter horse candidate?

He looked quarterish, as many of Big Red's get did. On the other hand, his mama's sire was the first son of Secretariat to win in Europe and raced up to a 1 3/4 miles. And his own sire was a specialist in precocious sprinters. A confusion of excellents, i guess

I'll plead ignorance. Until today I didn't realize there was a color associated with the element and sign.

But the year of the white metal rat sounds pretty bad ###.
