Has anyone ever won an NFL.com free league? (1 Viewer)

Before you start flaming me for being in a free league, I do play in 3 money leagues. A friend at work talked me into playing in his free league when he found out that I am a pretty avid FFer. Anyway, I won the league and this message is on the league site:

Shredhead's team won the league Championship by a score of 105 to 104 over Shredhead's opponent. Peyton Manning led the team in scoring in the championship round and he also led the team in scoring for the season. Congrats once again to Shredhead's team on a terrific Fantasy football Season. Hope to see you all next year!

A yellow alert box will be posted on your league's home page approximately one week after the season ends allowing official winners to claim their prize.

I was just curious if anyone has won one of these leagues and what kind of prize they give out. I'm not expecting much, but I'm not patient enough to wait for the yellow box to appear on the homepage.

I won a league back in 2000 and received a nice form letter signed by the commissioner.

Won one last year. I don't believe there is a prize for the free leagues. NFL.com and CBSsportsline share the same fantasy football service provider. I believe this "yellow box" refers to the cash prizes available to the winners of the CBSsportsline money leagues.

Well that makes sense, I wasn't expecting anything, but was surprised when that message showed up.

Are you sure you're not thinking of 'subpoena'?We used NFL.com our first year in 2001 and winner got zip.
