Not looking for any answer, just admiring his brutal honesty in his POV.

My initial reply had a lot of hyperbole that's for sure, but if I had to guess, I'd say that not every Christian is totally 100% devout, and as such it's normal to have a little doubt in their beliefs on some level.  When you're suddenly confronted with death, it's also normal for this doubt to turn into fear.
