Henry and Scheffler sit out practice (1 Viewer)

Travis Henry-RB-Broncos Oct. 26 - 11:22 pm et

Despite a previous report that Travis Henry (ribs, questionable) returned to practice Friday, the Denver Post reports Henry missed the workout.

The Broncos' website confirms the "new" news. Denver is expected to go with Selvin Young as the starter if Henry sits out against Green Bay Monday night, and Andre Hall would be rotated in. More should be known on Henry's status Saturday. Champ Bailey also missed his third straight workout Friday and is considered closer to doubtful than his "questionable" tag suggests.

Wondering if any homers have any new info on Henry's Ribs? My league does not allow last minute substitutions on Monday night. So I have to choice between Young or Henry by kickoff tomorrow.

I guess I turned this into a WDIS.

Sorry.

If I had to choose, I'd go Young. Brusied ribs are a ##### for RB's to play with, and if he didn't practice all week...

Henry update from RotoWire:

Henry (ribs) was in uniform for Saturday's practice and said that despite missing three days of practice this week he's hopeful he can still play against the Packers Monday night, the Rocky Mountain News reports. "Better than I did yesterday and the day before," Henry said Saturday. "Game-time decision, you know. Go in Monday early and do what I got to do. I plan to (play), I want to play. I've got to pass a couple tests they want me to pass before they clear me. I'll do all the shots and (the Broncos) have to test me out to see if I can take a lick." Coach Mike Shanahan concurred with the running back's game-time decision assessment, saying that Henry would go through pre-game warm-ups before any decision was made about his availability. If Henry can't go, Selvin Young would figure to get the start with Andre Hall also in the mix. More on Henry's status as Monday's kickoff approaches.

I hope they do some test to see if he can take a lick.

I own both and figure to start Henry if he is active. But I don't want a "one hit and your done" situation with Henry.

Hopefully my game is already decided before that MNF game so I don't have to make that tough choice if Henry is active but a little iffy.

Is it safe to play Scheffler this week? Not sure how to read into these things. Injury reports saying he should play, but people who have seen the injury say it should be taking a lot longer.

It's on Monday Night. Do I take the chance with him? Is it worth rostering Graham just in case so I have someone to play if he is ruled out?

Travis Henry (ribs, questionable) called himself a "game-time decision" for Monday night after going through a limited practice on Saturday.

When asked how he felt, Henry replied, "Better than I did yesterday and the day before. Game-time decision, you know. Go in Monday early and do what I got to do. I plan to (play), I want to play." Henry will take a pain-killing injection just prior to kickoff in hopes it provides enough relief for him to suit up. Even if he is active, a less than 100% Travis Henry versus a stout Packer defense, isn't worth holding out hope for.

This is merely par for the course with any Denver running back. Skeletor loves the shroud of mystery over his injured players. It's no different than a misdirection play.
