To pick nits, I can't see the Pats not taking a DB with one of their two first round picks.
The Patriots have taken a total of 4 players in the secondary in the top four rounds of their last 4 drafts. So they have been making it a priority. The Patriots under Belichick have taken at least two players that play on the line of scrimmage with their top 4 picks EVERY YEAR. So seoncdary and LOS are pretty good guesses.
If I were to guess, I think the Pats will use their two first round picks on:Aaron Ross CB Texas

Michael Griffin S Texas

Chris Houston CB Arkansas

Jarvis Moss DE Florida

Jon Beason OLB Miami-Fla

unless someone unexpected falls way farther than anticipated.
In a relatively weak draft, I expect NE to trade one of their 1st rounders to someone looking to move up from round 2 for a #1 next year.

Code:
14. Carolina - Greg Olsen - TE - UM
Sorry but this makes it less than a great mock and wrong.
You don't think TE is a need for Carolina?
Not particularily
I happen to disagree. We'll certainly find out tomorrow since I don't see him going before then.
That's OK...I've pointed out some of your obvious errors the last couple of years. This can be a tradition of sorts.

:lmao: Your smugness is noted.

Slime to zero chance the Chargers take Merriweather. There is a big article in the uniontribune about it today. AJ didnt bother to bring him in or interview him at the combine. Sure it could be an elaborate smokescreen, but with "character" being a hot topic around here (and the nfl) I am going to take AJs actions as fact.
 You need to fix that one Goatherder, it's a non-starter. Linkadink to the Merriweather hate.

Branch and Okoye dropped like rocks in this one. Haven't seen too many people predict them in the 20's.
No way in hell Okoye goes past the Rams. I've said this from day one.

As noted previously, they'd be getting Justin Harrell
Who has durability issues and is about 3 years older than Okoye.
Having a severe injury is not a "durability issue." Also, playing with a torn bicep against Florida - refusing to sit the game out - shoudl tell you something about the guy. Also, being 3 years older then Okoye is more a product of Okoye being very young, not Harrell being old.

Don't forget the leg and ankle injuries Harrell had in 2003 and 2004. Plus, you can't deny that what Okoye did as a 19 year old last season (55 tackles, 15 for loss and 8 sacks) was nothing short of impressive. He's 6'2, 302, but is still growing, both as a physical specimen and as a player. I'm sorry, but I think Okoye's going to have a longer and more successful career than Harrell, in my opinion.

You ignoring a lead clinch lock for a 3rd straight year is not only noted, but now etched in stone. See ya next year to continue the tradition.
