While in close proximity to your wife or husband, say "Hey, (name)" and then just go about your business and pretend you didn't say anything. When they ask you what you wanted, completely deny it all. DO NOT GIVE IN. AND DO NOT MENTION THIS THREAD.

Please report back.

The only threads I mention to her are the ones where Dr. Death calls me nasty names and says he wants me to die.

Good stuff. She went from confused to slowly escalating anger until she totally blew her gasket. Then she told me that she's been cheating on me the last 6 months.

I do that driving in the farmlands.. every time I see some hay I yell "HEY!!" and my wife panics and says "WHAT??!!" then I point at the farm field and say "hay- over there"

always funny

"Hay, Caaaaarl. Hay, get it?""Mom's dead."

Also pretty fun in the workplace.
Here's what I like to do in the workplace.

Them: Good morning.

Me: Good morning. How you doing?

Them: I'm doing pr...

Me: You know I don't really care. Just making small talk.

Then I walk away.
You do this to your students?
Of course. Life lessons and all that.
Lucky kids.

"Small talk is worthless" and "people really don't give a #### about how your day is going" are very importent lessons to learn.

I dont know how old the kids are but learning that you are indeed not a unique snowflake like your millennial parents told you is an important lesson to learn.
