I always smile when I think of how little Fernando Tatis blew up in the course of one offseason, but kept the same head

Steroids were not on baseball's banned substance list until recent years, so unless there are dates listed for the retired and veteran players nothing should happen.

And it's just one person's word against another with probably no proof.

So for all the Sox fans getting all riled up about asterisking the Yankees championships, how do you feel about Varitek, Nixon and Damon, all key parts of the 2004 World Series team, showing up on this list?

What Sox fans are doing this? One guy started a fishing thread and I dont even know what team he is a fan of.

And the proof of this is going to be, what? That is what I am curious about. If it's just rumor and innuendo, and I'm on that list, I'm suing MLB for this so you'd hope that there is actually some proof, somehow.

I still don't care about them using steriods. At all.

I wonder what active guys will keep playing in light of this. It seems most guys slink off once these revalations come out, Raffy, Grimsley retired, Big Mac, haven't SEEN that clown in 4 years. Of the actives:

There is some safety in numbers, but I'm more thinking about fringe guys here. Lots of things start to add up, like I see why Pettitte wanted to retire this offseason, and I have to wonder if he's second guessing his return. Pujols is the most interesting guy here to me, he's really the big impact, big ticket guy in his prime. With the exception of him, along with Prior, Wood, Betancourt and maybe Brian Roberts, I think most of these guys play out their deals and fade away or get blackballed out of the game.

I hear you..........I sure am glad that kids don't look up to, or try and emulate, what their hero's do.

I told my kid he can keep his Vick jersey, but the backyard dog fighting pit has to go.

If parents rely on overpaid undereducated neanderthal athletes who don't represent anything close to the reality of life to teach their children honor and be role models, then we need to start handing out licenses to reproduce, not banning baseball players because they tried too hard to entertain us.

Tremendous Upside>

I was just bustin chops with the Yankees deserve an * thread since Clemens name leaked first, that's all.

As for Damon, who knows what team he played for when he was indicated to be involved.

The whole era would get an * as being the steroids era...it was a bit of goading on my part is all.
