Not sure if these questions belong in this thread or a brand new one - but (assuming the worst here and Hernandez is done with the Pats/found guilty/whatever) - what's the fallout?

Specially, can the Pats simply cut a guy who's in jail without salary cap issues? They just signed him to a bid deal last year, if cut would all of that signing bonus be against the cap this year?! Also, and again assuming Gronk is back healthy (pun intended), how will Hernandez' absence affect him?

It's possible that being unable to play because he's in jail is a breach of his contract. If the Patriots can recover the signing bonus, it won't count against the cap.

It could be anything. People kill each other all the time during heated moments when a gun is around. Being young, and just coming from a nightclub, there are so many possible reasons.

There is countless scenarios one could speculate about it and make up motives. People do dumb things for dumb reasons. The story will play itself out sooner than later and it will make a lot more sense then it does today.

That's the logical way to look at it. But unfortunately, people who have issues with drugs, gangs, etc don't think this way. Pride, reputation, etc hold a lot more water for some people than the consequences of "keeping it real" (Chappelle reference)
