It was pretty well known he tanked in OAK intentionally because he didn't care. And he wasn't 35 way back then either.Devils advocate here, but didn't moss look pretty finished on Oakland too....?
Not that it matters much no, but this simply isn't true. A lot of people thought Moss was done when he left Oakland. A one trick pony who had lost his trick. It was pretty well known he tanked in OAK intentionally because he didn't care. Are we talking this past Sunday or in '07...or both?Miss me?Randy Moss
Well, I knew at the time that he was tanking, as did many others, so to say it simply isn't true is nonsense. In fact, I wrote a song about it for YouTube after a pathetically memorable Monday night game in Seattle that year (sung by BigBottom from this message board). A quote after that game from him was "They don't care, why should I?" and I incorporated that quote in the song. So, absolutely people believed at the time that he just didn't give a rat's ###.Not that it matters much no, but this simply isn't true. A lot of people thought Moss was done when he left Oakland. Just because you were right about it and believed it doesn't mean the majority did. I agree that perhaps you and some others knew he was tanking. I was in agreement with you back then in that he was simply not mentally in the game. I recall defending that position pretty strongly vs. the "Moss is done" crowd. I really don't want to dig through the past threads, but IIRC, the majority thought he was simply not the same player or athlete anymore. Again, it doesn't matter at this point. I just seem to have a different recollection of it than you.'Couch Potato said:Well, I knew at the time that he was tanking, as did many others, so to say it simply isn't true is nonsense. I think he's that bald white guy that talks soccer on ESPN Not sure how he helps then win that game...Who's Randy Moss?![]()
...they miss all of that... and they miss having the other teams' defensive calls as well... just sayin'(PLEASE NOTE: BITTER STEELERS FAN HERE SO WHEN I GET A CHANCE I WILL JAB THE PATS WHENEVER I CAN)The Pats miss Law, Samuel, Seymour, McGinnest, Harrison, Milloy, Vrabel, and a host of other defenders far more than they miss Randy Moss.
