We've allowed public high schools to instill dress codes for a long time now.

I'm against them personally.

Politically, I see no problem with uniform standards given the state of certain educative districts today.

The Barber folks are morons, but I don’t get the issues with the wrestler in this article. My son had to cut his hair for wrestling or wear a skull cap which isn’t good (comes down over eyes). He’s white and his haircut would be fine for this district. For wrestling, the hair has to be short because it can’t be grabbed. It’s just funny because that’s a general rule for the sport and unlike going to school you don’t have to wrestle.

Odds are that it will be take the story going viral and public pressure to get the school to back down and allow the student to wear his dreadlocks and graduate, but it's sad that it will come to that.  It's amazing how short-sighted these kind of "rules" can be.
