This will play out like last year with Hightower and Edgerrin James. hightower was worked in until around midseason and then became the starter for an ineffective James. I see the same thing here with Beanie replacing Hightower. Whisenhunt in his Monday presser stopped short of announcing Beanie as the new starter but said he is going to continue to see more carries moving forward.

I think the only thing that's been holding Wells back from being at least the 1st/2nd down back is his blitz pickup. He must be getting better at it because he's being used more and more and even had a few catches on passing downs this week. Arizona has to know that Hightower isn't the answer and are begging for Wells to step up. I think it's happening.
Positive signs for him going forward for sure. This week vs. Carolina could seal the deal. I may be playing him as a #3 over Pierre.

The AZ playoff schedule makes Wells an intriguing prospect to target. I have been trying to pull him from an owner, but don't want to give up too much. He hit the hole real hard against the G-Men. If he didn't fumble, I don't even think we would be having this discussion...we would instead see a slew of "Beanie Bandwagon" posts.
The way I see it, you have to take some risks to win the FF championship. Every year there seems to be a random player that gets hot and boosts teams to championships. Not saying that guy is Wells - but the opportunity is there for him.

when did Beanie fumble? it wasnt a lost fumble because I dont see it in the stats. Hightower however had a lost fumble.Starting Beanie this week due to Mendy n Portis on bye. and holding him even after this week for the juicy playoff matchups

It was in the 4th Quarter. The ball went out of bounds, so the Cards didn't lose possession.

You do realize that both of them have fumbled the same number of times this season, right? The last 3 games (i.e. since their bye week) THT has rushed 22 times for only 58 yards - while Wells has rushed 33 times for 120 yards. In that 3 games span, THT's receptions have been 5, 4 & 2, while Wells' have been 0, 1 & 3. Virtually every number since AZ's bye week has tipped in Wells favor - and his touches seem to continue to increase while THT's decrease. Wells is a better RB and IMHO, this is situation seems to be shifting from a RBBC to Wells as the main guy with THT coming in on 3rd downs/change of pace and to give Wells a blow once in a while.
