Doctor was reusing syringes. 

This is a pretty awful story. Amazing to me that there are 600k "doctors" practicing illegally. 

It appears the government may have even known about lots of them?

The Pakistani government responded to the crisis by shutting down clinics with unregistered doctors and illegal blood banks. It emerged many had been reusing syringes.

Yeah, I saw this earlier today in my news feed. Just unbelievably sad. Even though in first world nations, the meds to essentially cure HIV are readily available, I suspect they're pretty expensive. Hundreds or more in Pakistan may not have access (ever) to these kinds of meds. It's so sad.
